I think you're misinterpreting what the link is saying. They are using the presence of COVID pieces to determine the spread of infection in the community. These pieces are not "live" viruses that can infect you. Basically, if they discover much more of these pieces than would be expected by the number of confirmed cases, it would indicate that more people are infected than currently thought. The wastewater here does not pose a risk of acquiring the virus by it presence wherever it is used.

Part of the waste water process is bleaching, doubtful much of anything would survive. The treated wastewater is supposedly safer than the runoff in the ponds.

The wastewater examined was pre-treatment. From the article: "found that the amount of SARS-CoV-2 particles in the sewage samples." The treatment process takes care of all sorts of nasty stuff found in the raw sewage.

In my humble opinion I believe that you're a fine example of why there are more horses asses than there are horses

They have been doing these water tests and surveys in Australia for a while since the outbreak of the virus.
The water is fine, and there is no virus transmission from it.
Prior to the virus the police also tested waste water for its drug level, as an indicator of rise or fall of drug abuse in any given area.
If you want a good 'Consiracy' plot, look at the stuff on the new G5 broadband tracking and infecting people.
The nutters have burnt down Cell phone towers and instalations in UK.
Absolute bonkers the lot of them!

Even if treated wastewater is being used as you say, it will have been disinfected prior to final discharge. I'm not sure what method of disinfection TV uses (chlorination, ozone, UV), but any method will destroy the coronavirus. I say this as a retired wastewater treatment administrator with 20+ years of experience.

Please go back to bed, pull the sheets over your head, and you will be safe. Oh, and unplug your computer and router, turn off your cell phone....they may give you cancer that will kill you before the waste water.

South of 466 and north of 44, treated water from the waste water treatment plants is not used for residential lawn irrigation. It is, however, used for irrigation of the golf courses. South of 44, it is my understanding that treated water from water water treatment plants may be used for residential irrigation. Regardless, you do not want to drink irrigation water south of 466. North of 466, potable water is used for residential lawn irrigation.
Wrong,,,, DONT drink the water
