Not wanting to cook yet again, yesterday we ordered dinner from Lopez Legacy. We each had the lamb shank, which came with a choice of two sides. Ordering online was really easy, and as a bonus we had a bogo coupon code. Because of our order total, we were able to get free delivery, a great deal as we had planned to just run over (in the rain!) and pick it up. We tipped on the non-discounted amount, and then extra generously. We chose delivery at 6pm, and lo and behold, it arrived at 6:03! Perfect! And it was delicious, plenty of meat falling off the bone, with fresh broccoli perfectly cooked, and tri-color roasted potatoes. We highly recommend the restaurant, and are grateful that they are open for business.

The two Chinese restaurants by us are closed. Who did you use? Thanks.

We went to the big Walmart on 466 on Wednesday, since we were in the area I ordered from Olive Garden. Called from Walmart and ordered two Lasagna Lunches with salad and bread. They take your credit card info, your type and color of car and give you a ready time in about 20 minutes. It's very nicely packed, the salads were in containers that you could keep and reuse, and the lasagna was also packed well. The bread was in a foil package, also OG dressings, grutons and sprinkle cheese, plastic silverware and napkins. When you arrive at the parking lot, they have a fellow sitting under a tent, he'll come out and get your name and you park near the front door. While we were there, two golf carts also arrived for pickup. After about 5 minutes they brought out the food.

We've done curbside pickup from Katie Belles a couple times. The food was delicious, hot, and included our choice of wine or beer. Koyame in Spanish Plaines is open everyday but Sunday for curbside pickup. Very good Chinese. Oakwood on 441/27 was also great.

Koyame @ Spanish Plaines has safe pickup for online ordering. Never even enter the restaurant. They have built an enclosure at the front door. Place your order, call for pickup time, arrive and they bring order to enclosure and pass it to you through opening in enclosure. Employee is masked and gloved. Doing it right

I find it odd that so many people in TV don't like to cook and choose to go out to eat all the time....the restaurants in TV are okay, but the food is pretty average
both my wife and I worked in restaurants growing up...we learned a lot of the tricks of the trade and are aware of what is unseen by the public (and it's not really horrible...it just would never happen at home)...we've traveled the world for business and for pleasure dinning out and enjoyed some fabulous meals
we do enjoy going out to dinner occasionally for a special event or just for a change (that's the model that our parents showed us)
we actually like to cook...over the years cooking became a hobby for us....we'd take culinary classes at colleges on the weekends....
we make a lot of our meals from scratch
once you actually take the time to learn how to cook it's pretty easy....especially if you can read directions
most household cycle through the same 23 recipes all the time....that can become pretty boring for both the cook and the diner
…. inject some new recipes into your life.
you put on less weight if you eat primarily at home....you can control what goes into it....and it's a lot less expensive
We've published a family cookbook with all the recipes that our kids have enjoyed over the years so that those dishes are never lost to them (BTW- that was a huge success one Christmas)
we like to cook with wine...and yup, sometimes it's even called for in the recipe

We frequently go to NYPD pizza on 466 in front of Wal-Mart. The food is great and the pizza is the closest we can get to back home in Jersey. The staff is great and the owner is do nice. They have coupons in the blue savings packet you get in the mail.

I really wish restaurant chefs would learn to make food taste good without an abundance of salt and fat. There are other spices.

Chengs is open next door too. We took out the other day. Their food seems to be the closest to what we are used to get back home so far. The Chinese food here has been terrible up to this point.

Wasn't this post about supporting our local restaurants? Seems this response was a bit self serving. Pun intended.
