I have friends moving to Florida next weekend and they are looking for a four passenger golf cart 2014 or newer. What price do you think they will have to pay

A new Star car would be around $12,000.

Look in the classifieds (golf cart listings) here on TOTV it might give you some idea of a price range.

The first stop would be The Villages and their 4 locations. You can send them a message or call about pre-owned carts. Here's the website with that info.
Sales | The Villages Golf Cars (https://www.thevillagesgolfcars.com/sales.php)
Then there is Village Discount Golf Carts on 466 just east of Morse, they sell reconditioned carts. Here's their website.

There is Ocala's largest golf cart dealer Carts & Clubs, here is their website.
Carts And Clubs Ocala Florida, Custom Golf Cart Builder - Yamaha Golf Cart dealer - New & Used Golf Carts For Sale (https://ocalayamaha.com/)
If price is the most important factor, then just google dealers throughout Florida and southeast US. Here's one in Haines City near Lakesland, Bargain Carts. They have hundreds of used golf course carts, buy as they are or they can refurbish. You can also have it shipped to Villages Discount Carts on 466 and they'll refurbish by adding turn signals, upgraded seats, lights, enclosures, the whole Village package for about $2,000 to $2500.

We bought a very nice convertible cart, normally 2 people and golf clubs, with a fold down second seat (seated facing backwards), upgraded suspension for the additional weight, and lots of other upgrades from Village discount Golf carts (441 just North of 42), it is a 2017 Yamaha gas Quietech and we are very happy with it. Cost was over $13K, but appears to be reasonable for everything that was included. One a side note, the cart handles very well when we have 4 passengers.
