funny how some habits stay with us for life

I'm not sure why, but I still save every screw, nut, bolt, washer and Alan wrench left over from anything that I've purchased and had to assemble.... :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

My wife still asks if I think it's okay for her to take a shower while the dishwasher is running....:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

I save lots of parts, which I try to reuse on future projects or repairs. Still drinking rusty nails, which my father introduced me to about 50 years ago. And still get up at 7 am.

There is no way I could throw away a perfectly good nail or screw.

You can't get many screws in one of those Keurig K-cups.

Great thought question!

Flat bed sheet, smooth side down, toward sleeper
Partially used clothes, place on chair, floor, bed post to be used tomorrow
Dislike seeing wiring, telephone wiring, computer wiring, extension cords, lamp cords, speaker wiring, anywhere in house, etc.
Love to keep tools, just in case, love to walk Home Depot to see new tools, dream about the olden days.
Shelving, tools and spare parts in garage, (wife has in house, don't like that!)
Hate having auto repair service lie to me, so as many diagnostic tools for cars so I can tell if they are lying.
tread/disc brake gauges, on board diagnostic readers, air gauges, battery testers. . .
Hate having computer/network guys lie to me, so have all cable testing and cable repair tools, diagnostics,
Hate having carpenters lie to me, so I have hammers and nails. . .:ohdear: :icon_wink:

But at restaurants, I stack dishes, ole boy wonders if I'm hoping for a tip (I know someone would like to fill in the blanks, ok, go ahead, I can take it)

I also have the leftovers Allen wrenches from putting years of things together just in case,,,, you never know if you will need them, but you have to remember where you put the jar.

When we buy something new, we save the box just in case. We usually have the box long after the product!

Every time I replace a roll of toilet paper, I am very careful to hold the plastic holder thing together. When I was growing up, we had a wooden one that was broken and, when you removed it, two pieces of wood and a spring would fly across the room. I just can't remember that doesn't happen anymore.

I still take 1000 MG of Vitamin C every morning even though it supposedly isn't helpful to my health. I will probably always think it is.

Always grab at least one shopping cart, usually more, that people leave all over the place and fix at least a half dozen old ball marks on the green.

It sure beats running to the hardware store for "just one screw or nut", especially if it is after store hours. Sometimes you have to buy a whole box of something so you can use one or two out of that box.

My Daughter and her husband have moved in with us and are going to buy our house when we move to TV. She has been "cleaning out the garage"! Help.

Yep, just went out to the garage and got the hardware I needed for a small project. :clap2:

Once read an article written by wait staff at restaurants stating that the thing they hated most was patrons stacking dishes, thinking they are helping. Claimed it is NOT a help and makes their job more difficult as they have a method to their madness and the patrons disturb it. I have never forgotten that article.

If we somehow meet, there will probably be only one survivor as there can't be 2 completely insane, crazy people with the same quirks. . .
