Nope.
So many times, posters only post negatives and the thread highlights the lack of negative....which is a positive.
Try hard and you might understand.

Number of posts???............who cares.
It's like Hole-in-ones.............who cares.
It's like how big of a tip was left.............who cares.
It's like thin vs deep dish pizza...........who cares.

All Im saying mr wilson is that your use of adjectives when describing those that complain about course conditions or anything else in TV is negative. Nothing positive about your posts when u are disagreeing with anyone that has a issue with TV. So you too should try hard to understand.

Ooooooooooooooooo I understand.

When I see a spade, I call it a spade.
There are issues with TV, never have thought it's perfect.

Nothing is perfect except our Lord.

Silence is golden. Not in this section. There is a section titled, The Villages Golf Course Conditions. It's a great placed to whine about conditions.

Maybe we can start a new thread on how many posts plus "PM's" TOTV posters have sent out. A better metric of transparency.

I will give you some whining about golf conditions. The condition of golf where we are unfortunately stuck at up North, is that there is NO GOLF! All golf courses being closed are the worst possible conditions. How I wish we could be at our Villages home now.

To be able to hit a put at a raised PCV cup, hit off fairways that some think are mowed too tight, have to put through unrepared ball marks, have to smooth out an unraked bunker, etc... It all sounds like nirvana right about now.

That’s because TV championship courses are in the best April-May condition in my 9 years here, especially the greens. Thank you TV course maintenance.

I guess you have not played OB Hills lately. That course is in terrible shape. Can't find any grass on the fairways. Greens only fair at best.

Hate to bust your bubble, but most are just glad and thankful that we get to play golf at all. But, all in all, course conditions have been decent. Greens very good.

I am one who has raised an issue regarding poor course conditions when they surface. Play most of my Exec rounds at Mangrove, Sweetgum and Palmetto. Occasionally venture to Southern Star and Yankee Clipper . Being very cautious due to the COVID virus I have only played 3 times in 7 weeks. Sweetgum and Palmetto are still closed but the greens at Mangrove have improved significantly. Tees on both Mangrove and Southern Star have been terrible but that has never bothered me. It’s the greens, fringe areas around the greens and the traps I’m most critical of. Giving credit where credit is due which I think is what you were driving at, conditioning is much improved for the limited amount of courses I have seen. Playing Sweetgum Tuesday so am interested to see what has been done. Palmetto back in operation on the 18th so I’m a happy guy.

I learned the lesson within a couple of years after moving here regarding our lawn at home. I had Massey doing all maintenance service. About this time of year our lawn look awful. It seemed I couldn’t water it enough to make it look like what I expected. I called Massey and demanded that a supervisor come out to inspect.

Massey sent a very knowledgeable supervisor out who offered to attempt to fix my problem with chemicals. But he explained that the problem was really the dry season and that in a few weeks, when the daily afternoon rains started, our lawn would again look like what I expected.

He was right. If people will just cool it for a few more weeks the golf courses will again return to lush beauty.

I, for one, have simply gotten tired of talking about it. I play mostly executive courses and the one that I play the most is in the worst condition of any golf course I've ever seen. I understand that we haven't had much rain and the ponds are getting low, but I've never seen anything this bad.

On a positve note.
I think the roundabouts are in very good condition, and the stickers at the postal stations look quite attractive! :icon_wink:

Just the PVC lined cups. Other places have used pool noodles positioned an inch below the top of the cup. But apparently all those making faux hole in ones, eagles and shooting their age actual prefer this "fantasy golf"

Yes! Don’t know why they didn’t do that here.

Then why are you playing there.....there are a dozen more courses available to you?
