Will be driving this week on I75 to Detroit. Are the Toilet facilities in the rest stops open?
Have tried finding the information on the states DOT websites, (Florida, Georgia, etc), but they do not updated information.
Thanks

You will probably have to call the state's DOT and find out from them.

Just returned to TN vis I75.
There is a very clean RaceTrac gas station at Cartersville, Ga, Mainstreet exit. (about 30 miles north of Atlanta)

Traveling now. Plan on using the big truck stops. TA, Loves, Race Track, Speedway. All are open. Food outlets are attached and available for drive thru. Motels are empty. Have a reservation.

Download the app "iEXIT" it will tell you everything that is located on any exit along the way. It will not tell you if a rest stop is closed for construction reasons. We just used the app and it worked great, with that one exception. Rest stops are open.

Came north mid April.. was worried facilities wouldn’t be closed. However, all were open. You should have no problems..safe travels!!

No problems for us when we drove I-75 thru Georgia and Tennessee. Most, if not all, rest stops were open.

We came back to Michigan recently. The rest areas were not crowded but we found stopping at the big gas stations was a good plan. They were exceptionally clean and cared for. We wanted to stop a few times as possible. We used a lot of disinfect wipes and brought our own food. Everything went well. Very little traffic.

Yes, everything is open except the lobbies and very clean. Especially the women’s restrooms. Men’s are used more by the truckers. Not many people traveling so they are not crowded at all. And they are extra diligent in keeping them clean. You will find that some of them hadn’t been used at all since the morning cleaning. 2 in KY are closed due to renovations. Here is a link you can check.

16.5 hours wow - I had to do the math on that one. You must have been a trucker in a previous life. My best was 23 hours Detroit to Orlando - but I was 18 with a Chevy V8.:bigbow:

Almost everything is open. Truckers have to use facilities so places remain mostly open.

We just made the trip from TV to IL, all rest areas were open and no trouble getting gas. Did notice that the hotels were still plenty busy. Safe travels.

You may find this gross, but still, it could help. There are devices sold on Amazon for males and females who need to urinate while in a car. Sort of for folks who do not want to go behind a bush. They are sanitary and disposable. I've never used them but I was happy to know they were there and considered storing some in the car for emergencies, though I did not buy in the end. But if I was travelling in these times, I would buy.

I would suggest visiting toilet facilities before crossing MI state line. Governor Whitmer has closed everything down. You might have to show your papers when you get into MI.:pray:

We look for big box stores along the way. Target, Walmart, Home Depot or whatever.

Yes. Stopped at two. There were signs on highway if closed. Do take TP or kleenex with you. Also consider time of day heading north. The rest areas 4am - 7am were flooded with truckers even on approaches and highway shoulders.

My condolences for having to go to Detroit. I found all rest areas are open on I75 last week.
