Our lanai enclosure was done after sale and doesn't have a guarantee. Brian who put them in told us warranty is not for second buyer. The house inspector did not find the problem. The previous owners did not disclose it. All the seals are disintegrating. I need to find someone that can reseal and change the panes that have got fog. Can you recommend an honest person to do this job? Thanks for your help, and new buyers beware.

We had All Season Rooms enclose our lanai...Father son business, been around for years

They were great...I'd give them a call, if they don't do it, they may know someone that does

I doubt that the windows can be resealed, if this is the seal between 2 panes of glass. The windows are typically filled with a special dry gas for insulating and moisture control. It is not practical to dry, and refill and reseal in the field. Since you state these are fogging, I believe you will need to have the entire panel(s) replaced.

It might be better to put in new windows.

We had this problem in Va on some very large panes about 5 years apart..

All window companies we spoke to said they could not fix and we had to buy new windows.

To those that say it can’t be done, wrong. I had three windows taken apart, vacuum redone and seal redone. However this was back in Pittsburgh Pa.

He didn't say it can't be done, he said it is not practical to do it.

Even though we were the second owners calling home warranty gave us the installers name. They replaced a large double paned window with a broken seal no charge. It was Custom Windows and the window was less than ten years old.

Great for you the previous owners hired an honorable installer. Ours would not take responsibility. He is still doing lanais but not with glass.

We had Maximus Glass replace the panel. Brett 352 874 5425
