I lost a money clip given to me by my recently deceased daughter. Needless to say it had great sentimental value. Sadly I thought that it was gone forever. Against all odds I posted on TTV under lost and found. Well this morning I got a email saying they had found a money clip and gave me their number. I called and identified it went by and they happily gave it to me. I was elated. The money was still in it and they profusely refused to accept a reward. So if any of you reading this know Steve & Patrice, they are first class folks. You are very fortunate to have them in your circle of Village friends. Thank you again Steve & Patrice, you made a old man very happy.

I remember reading the "lost" notice and thinking I'll bet someone finds it and returns the clip and the money. TV is full of good people. Congrats.

There's a country song out there now, I think it's by Luke Bryant (not sure), "Most People are Good"

Before I moved to the Villages,I lived in Vero Beach. One day, while at the Beach, I found a wallet,it had about $300 in cash,an old pay-check stub, and absolutly no ID of any kind.I called the company as shown on the paycheck stub, and they were able to give me the name of the person to whom it was written.I made a few more calls, located a young man who worked at auto repair shop,I spoke with him on the phone and told him I could drop off the wallet at his shop, since it was only about a half mile from my house. When I gave it to him, he offered me money, which I did not accept, and then he said, and I quote,"I'm glad it was an old guy found it. A young guy would have kept it".To this day, I don't know just how I feel about what he said...

He was just commenting on his life experience; all you can do is accept it and move on. You didn’t do it because you were ‘an old guy’; you did it because it was the right thing to do. (If EVERYONE did THE NEXT RIGHT THING, imagine how remarkable ‘new normal’ could be....)
On the other hand, if he was, say, about 19, perceiving you as an ‘old guy’ because you were 35 at the time ... well, on the other hand ... well, what CAN you say?...
