PA ranked their Counties by color to designate which Counties could open and when. There is a cluster of Counties in the Southeast that are red which means you are closed through May with specific guidelines to reopen. Some red Counties made noises last week that they would ignore those guidelines and put together a plan to reopen. Lot of vitrol on social media, in editorials and of course chants of open up, open up. Governor raised the bar yesterday, if Counties ignore the guidelines money will be stopped and all business's that ignore the guidelines will have their business licenses reviewed. In one paper this morning, the County Commissioners immediatley back peddled and have said they will continue to develop a plan that when they can reopen they will be ready. One of Commissioners stated the County would lose significant funding and the Alliance of Business Owners estimated that a review of Business Licenses could force the shutdown of many. If we continue to ignore the guidelines as seems to be increasing, it could happen here. We can control our lifestyle.

hopefully the government is going to do what they believe is best...and not be overbearing for all the wrong reasons
that said...everybody has free will
how they use that free will determines what may or may not happen to them....if some folks are willing to take a risk for what they feel is their individual freedom/right...so be it. nothing that we can stop
they just need to be prepared to accept the unintended consequences of their actions

After 60 days of lockdown, Governor Wolf decided it was time to order Covid testing for nursing home residents and staff. He authorized hospitals to discharge Covid positive hospital patients back into nursing homes and they did not have to be separated from the rest of the population. Nursing home deaths make up 70% of the deaths in PA.
Health secretary Dr. Rachel Levine removed her mother from a nursing home after the shutdown order and moved her to the Hershey Hotel.
