My home and auto insurance continue to increase each year even though I had not had any claims. I would appreciate recommendations on an insurance company and agent that you have had for several years and are pleased with. Thanks for your help.

I think everyones insurance goes up every year, it's not tied to your record it's tied to the State's record. Some insurance companies have even pulled out of Florida. It would have been helpful to know you currently have so we could avoid recommending what you have.

Villages Insurance / Karyn Halstead. I review my insurances every year with her for the last 10 years.

I have Allstate auto insurance and ASI (now Progressive) for homeowners. If price is a serious concern, then you really need to shop around and be willing to change companies every year or so. Insurance companies do not reward loyal customers. They do just the opposite. They raise prices for loyal customers. Also, I think they overstate how much you really save by bundling your homeowners and auto insurance with the same company. You can often get a better deal by having two different companies.

Hartford Auto insurance gave the best rate by far. Saved $500.

Have had State Farm every year for the last 43 years. Auto, Homeowners, Umbrella.I am satisfied with them. I know they will always remain solvent.

Your insurance cost is not based solely on your actions. You are in a pool of people and many other things can cause your rates to increase. Good claims service is more important than saving a few bucks.

When I purchased a new masonry 2 BR CYV in 2011, I contacted Villages Insurance and they set me up with American Integrity at $505 a year. In 2019 premiums were $985 and when I looked back, AI had raised my premiums 5 of the 8 years I was with them without making any claims.

I called Villages Insurance just about a year ago and asked what else was available, and if ASI was available. She said ASI would write the policy but not with sink hole insurance, so then we moved on. She put me with Coastal Insurance out of Miami. The rate was $400 less, $575 for the year. They actually sent a photographer out to our home and took exterior photos, something that AI never did.
