Doctor gave me information on the “ Pan Optix” lens and wondering if
anyone else had those put in. “ Possible” side effects to that
is nighttime glare, “ rings” around lights

I have them in both eyes. I chose them because they correct your vision for both near and far. No reading glasses necessary. You do get rings around oncoming headlights but it's not hard to deal with, I don't drive much at night anyway. Head guy at Ocala eye did them.

my wife has these put in also (one eye at a time)....she didn't want glasses any more
she still needs 'readers' for close work
at night she sees rings around street lights and oncoming car headlights and won't drive at night...so I do all the night time driving
I'm not a candidate for this operation yet...but I will put if off for a long as possible

I love my multifocal lenses and not having to wear glasses. Expensive but worth it, IMO. I don't drive much at night so the halos around lights was an okay trade off.
You may already know this, but Medicare and insurance only pay for single vision lenses so you have to pay the extra out of pocket. I was told it would be $1500 extra per eye but it ended up about $3000 out of pocket for each of the two procedures. The lens is more expensive and both the surgeon and the facility charge extra. With the cost of blended bifocals, I figured it wouldn't take me that long to come out ahead. I would have done it anyway, though, for the convenience factor.
Good luck.

Multifocal for me also, needed a strong prescription so optimized one eye for distance and other eye for near vision. I wanted to be able to read my Apple watch without glasses.
Have rings/Starbursts with lights at night but no problem driving.
