This evening, around 10:30, a truck that looked like a community watch truck came down our cul de sac with a sprayer spraying the whole street, like a fog. Any one know what they were spraying? I could hear them on streets behind us, so they were doing the whole neighborhood.

I would love it in our neighborhood too! I heard it all the time when we first moved here in 2014. I haven't heard it in quite a few years and seeing more and more mosquitos.

They are starting to spray after a New Yorker walks thru a neighborhood. :icon_wink:

We are in Bridgeport at Lake Sumter. I’m was thinking it might be mosquito spraying. Thanks.

As a kid in St. Petersburg in the 60's I use to hate the hissing sound that truck made usually near sunset, that meant it was time to go inside and if you saw the yellow flashing lights it was almost too late. It kept away the mosquitos.

When I lived in the South Pacific, flight attendants would walk down the aisle spraying pesticide (http://www.hawaiireporter.com/fly-toxic-skies/) over our heads before takeoff or upon landing.

I would pull my t-shirt over my face, but I suppose now required face coverings can serve a dual purpose.
