My wife and I are moving to the Villages, on 6/30/20, from Jacksonville, she is an avid runner and I am an avid swimmer. We both compete within the Senior Games Circuit in Florida. Excited to make new friends, and get involved in the community. The move has begun on this end, and getting some of my questions answered on this forum has helped, so we appreciate it. Dale

Come on down! Great golf, in spite of what some people write about the course conditions. Skip the restaurant and golf course reviews, and you will have a great life here. Very friendly community, and you will make friends for life.

Welcome.
The Villages is not perfect, but it is as good as the best, and better than most!

:welcome:Welcome! The lap pools are great here. Currently, 4 lanes always available. Due to covid-19, there is no water volleyball or water aerobics - when those activities re-start, the lanes are sometimes taken over by the activities.

Check the Park & Rec news

Welcome to the Villages! We're in the Spanish Springs area too, on the "historic" side of 441 (Country Club of Orange Blossom Hills and Silver Lake areas).

You picked the BEST part of the Villages to live in, if you ask me or anyone else who lives in it :)

Loving the sports pools now. Lap swimmers have swimming opportunities all day long instead of very early AM and late PM only. And I have never seen the water anywhere near as clean without all the group aerobics and volleyball use. The pools don’t have the typical sunscreen slick floating on top of the water. From an avid lap swimmers perspective, I wish the group activities would never re-start.
