As we enjoy the holiday (to the extent possible), let's not forget the reason we set a day aside for these brave souls.

What has been some of your memories? My father was a Chaplln in the Air Force during the WW II and I can remember being at Arlington Cementery with him and my family as he conducted the burial services for 10 returning Servicemen who died while serving our country, or going on hospital calls with him as he met with wounded servicemen who had their limbs amputated or were otherwise seriously injured. I was only 11 or 12 at the time but it is a memory that makes me always give thanks for those who gave their lives so I can live.
