I just read this;

Florida reports 53,285 coronavirus cases; 2,364 deaths - South Florida Sun-Sentinel (https://www.sun-sentinel.com/coronavirus/fl-ne-florida-coronavirus-deaths-cases-thursday-may-28-20200528-7crldg4plbhy5jmcv7kqpx3hoe-story.html)

But the Florida Department of Health does not appear to be showing latest stuff on Covid-19....Am I wrong?

The Florida Department of Health COVID-19 dashboard currently (8:30 AM Friday) shows 2364 deaths. They update each day at 11AM. I am guessing that is where the paper got their information. The article in the paper has a time stamp of 11:25 AM yesterday (Thursday) so it appears they used the latest update at 11:00AM yesterday. Check the dashboard after 11:00AM today for the latest update for today.

Florida is reporting its Covid data. The data on the site is current as of yesterday and will be updated today at 11:00AM.

You can see the aggregate statistics on the state, county, and zipcode on the Florida Covid site.

And if that isn't enough you can see the details on every single case that has been reported, including cases from yesterday (5/28/2020) here:

Florida COVID19 Case Line Data (https://open-fdoh.hub.arcgis.com/datasets/florida-covid19-case-line-data)

arcgis.com is a company that offers geographic data services. Florida, and a lot of other states, use it to publish their data.

Some days they report a lot of deaths and other less. Overall, the number of Covid deaths per day in Florida have been slowly trending down since the last part of April.

Closer to home, zero new cases in Sumter County in last 5 days, total of 9 new cases in past two weeks.

Good job Villagers!
