Hi Gracie,
The expression, "Patience Grasshopper" is your signature expression for me. I thought you invented that expression.
Just now, I was watching "Worst Cooks in America, Celebrity Edition" and Tyler Florence (Chef and co-host of the show) said that same expression to his recruits. What?????? How did Tyler Florence hear about that expression? That's Gracie's expression! Well, I had a feeling he doesn't read Talk of the Villages. So......I Googled the expression.
Who knew the expression, "patience young grasshopper" comes from the old TV show, "Kung Fu"? I learned something today and now I can't give Gracie credit for the expression.

Funny but I remembered that

I loved that show. Although it was not authentic in what it portrayed it was intriguing and certainly entertaining.

well she may not have 'coined it', however you can still give Gracie Girl credit for having the wisdom and patience to know when it's an appropriate response to post

Ah, yes. Kung Fu starring David Carradine who received martial arts training from his Shaolin monk teacher. Remember what he had to do to complete his training?

He had to snatch a pebble from his Master's hand before the palm close over it.

I never would have snatched that pebble (on purpose)....as before you left the school and went out on your own you burnt the image of a dragon onto the inside of your forearms trying to lift that red hot caldron ....not gonna happen

As you can probably figure, I've never seen the show. Let me take a guess........was it "wax on wax off"? Probably not but I took a shot in the dark.

The TV show, "Kung Fu" was brought to the networks by Bruce Lee. He was supposed to star as the lead character but the network felt that he was too short and that a Chinese actor wouldn't "sell."

Coffeebean, it was BogieShooter who always cautioned us to have "Patience Grasshopper" and I blatantly stole it from him. Bogie Shooter is my friend who I have never met. He will not tell me his true identity or meet us for lunch. But I don't think it is because he doesn't like us. He is just a private person. Bogie and I don't vote the same but most of the time we are on the same page on stuff. He is from Ohio too. (I don't think he will like it that I told that.....)
