Well it seems that the Mail in voting issue has been resolved. The recent protests and riots have proven that people can get anywhere if they want to .There is even a $350,000 RR available for transport.

Mail in voting must remain available for so many reasons. Don’t buy into the fraud lie.

Mail in ballots are an open door to fraud.
That’s why they are counted last or not at all.
If you vote by mail your vote may not be counted.

If counterfeit money can be reproduced a counterfeit ballot will be much easier. In this age of technology we must develop a better system or forever be swallowed in voter fraud.

If we arrive in the Villages this Fall and are not able to vote by mail does that mean the thousands of people who are seasonal are denied the right to vote? Perhaps some people don't care but most of us do and it is unreasonable to expect that we will travel back to our home state for the purpose of voting in a booth. Let's think about being fair to all voters.

Don't buy into the lies and propaganda. Here are some actual facts:

Voting by mail, which is also called absentee voting, is available in one way or another in ALL 50 STATES.

Every single state has provisions for it.

Some states have restrictions, some do not. But they ALL have it.

ALL mail fraud, via the mail or in person, is statistically insignificant. There are a couple of exceptions, historically. But the overall fraud rate is 0.00006%. That isn't enough to swing a ballot, unless the candidates were only 5-10 votes shy of a win.

Ballots cannot be duplicated for the purpose of fraud; there are dozens of different types/designs of ballots in each jurisdition, so one never knows which one is being used, until one is presented with it. And one doesn't know if the one that YOU used, will be the same one as the one someone else uses.

The scanner system is designed to only read certain ballots in specific ways. A duplicate would be rejected.

More numbers:

Over 250 Million votes have been cast by mail over the past 20 years. There have only been 143 criminal convictions for election-related mail fraud during that same 20-year period.

That's one case, per state, once every 6-7 years.

That's it.

In addition, a few states have implemented mail-in voting already and have reported no instances of fraud at all.

Compare with JUST the state of Georgia alone, where an intruder had control over the computers that counted the vote-counting machines (in-person) for the entire state. That's not mail-in ballots. That's in-person ballots. And, because they didn't use paper ballots (which is what a mail-in would be), they couldn't manually count the votes.

So yes - the prevalence of mail fraud is higher. But that prevalence is spread out over a 20-year period. A slightly lower prevalence was focused on a single election, and had disastrous results.

NPR has a good accounting of this, and if you check the wikipedia website you can follow the source links to the articles that were used to create that wiki page.

(Never believe a wikipedia page without checking those source links first).

Chill out. Original post was only meant to show that people have the ability to get out and about. The whole discussion on mail in voting was argued recently and the issue was not absentee voting but was against attempts to promote unsolicited mail in voting system .

Still can't find location where 100's of thousands are forced to one voting location.

I vote using an absentee ballot. I have to go to the registers office, show my ID and vote in person.

Some States Have Embraced Online Voting. It's a Huge Risk (https://politics.slashdot.org/story/20/06/10/217230/some-states-have-embraced-online-voting-its-a-huge-risk)

BTW, the Slashdot website (blog) is the bible of the tech community. The comments are (IMO) the best example of what the "woke" crowd is thinking.

Mail in voting one would think could and would be simple process
Ballots go out addressed to a recipient Not a household mass mailing
Who intern provides a copy of a photo Id either a drivers license or valid Id showing address of voter casting his or hers or combination of the 2 ballot

Thank you, Challenger and Bogie,

Yes. Voter suppression is alive and well. Georgia’s primary illustrated that clearly. Dry run?

I have been trying to resist engaging in any of these threads, but for this one, here I am.

To those who are railing against mail-in voting, please ask yourselves if you actually believe in and support voter suppression.

For those carrying a torch in the fight against mail-in voting — may I ask that you look at information from a variety of sources and then think through the ideals of Democracy. Please think for yourselves.

Do you really support the recruitment of poll-watchers to intimidate voters in November?

Do you really think what happened in Georgia is a good thing?

Do you even know what happened in the Georgia election — the details of the machinations of a clear and all too present danger to Democracy? And if you do not know, are you willing to try to learn more?

Do you really believe in voter suppression?

"Do you really support the recruitment of poll-watchers to intimidate voters in November?"

If votes are cast behind a curtain then how are voters intimidated?

If you mean intimidation because voters are required to present a government issued photo ID, then maybe yes, there could be some (illegal) voter consternation.

If the deceased can get stimulus checks why can’t they get mail in ballots
