Due to an email written to The Villages District Manager by Bill Schikora, District 2 Supervisor, the Lake Sumter Lions Club will no longer be collecting aluminum cans at the postal stations. Apparently, government property can not be used for fundraising unless everyone has equal access. Mr Schikora had complained previously about Lions collecting cans at postal stations and recycling the cans as a fundraiser.
So this ends the collecting and recycling of cans by the Lake Sumter Lions.

IMO Only the building government property and probably lease? I would think the parking lot and any real state out from under the roof is district common area when means bonds Or developers paid for it and amenities money pay for the upkeep and for sure the surrounding areas.

IMO All the districts have to is adapter policy which approves how many and how long they can use the area for fund raisers. I would think Only the building belongs to USPS/federal government which developers probably paid for? USPS/federal government IMO probably didn’t buy the land it sets on?

Sounds like it’s only district 2 complaint?

Does anyone know of a location where someone can drop off aluminum cans for recycling within The Villages?

The Animal Hospital at Pinellas Plaza, Burnsed Boulevard was very happy to take my cans this week. I was told that some other vets or animal hospitals take them also---not sure which ones though.
