I still need to have my taxes done and have decided I can't wait for the Rec Centers to start doing them again in July. Does anyone know anyone who can do taxes that is reasonably priced? I have been going to Jackson-Hewitt the last few years but they charge about $300, I was hoping to find someone a little less expensive. My taxes are fairly easy to do but I do not want to do them myself.

My taxes are fairly easy to do but I do not want to do them myself. Why not try it yourself? You can always have it checked over. TurboTax holds your hand through the entire process step by step. Been using it for 25+ years with both simple and more complex returns. For "real simple" it's free. There are many others free & pay. You can file Federal electronically for free or print and mail.

check out Tom's Tax Service on 441/27 in Fruitland Park

no idea what his prices are, but my guess is that if you've been paying $300 you're not a simple short form 1040 (if there even are any of those anymore)

We decided to try him. He has has them since March and we are still waiting.
