Wonderful. Beats pickle ball - at least the pitch changes. FYI quiet hours are 10PM to 8AM according to my deed restrictions.

I think it’s great. Nothing lasts past 8:30 here so what’s the harm?

hey, if a neighbor wants to do it...more power to them...we love music and there is none at the squares currently
we live on a cul-de-sac....we might be more of a connected neighborhood than others
we have multiple holiday gatherings at the end of the street and everyone brings food...on New Year's eve we end about 12:15am and folks from other streets join us...because it's fun!
every street is different....the 4 cul de sac's next to us do nothing as a 'neighborhood'

really depends on the kind of music, volume, frequency and concern where you park. I saw a driveway band where cars were parked all over the place.

Not a fan of this. Force your neighbors to listen to your choice of music? How would you like to hear MY choice of music if its ghetto RAP??
Get my point?
Not everybody enjoys the same things. Check with your neighbors within hearing distance first.

Bring them on, great idea. People should be outdoors enjoying some fresh air and entertainment in a safe environment. What's not to like?

I wouldn't want to be the person living across the street from those speakers when the off-key person sings the third Frank Sinatra song in a row while I'm trying to watch a movie on the TV. I also don't want to be my parents coming up 4 hours from their own home to park in front of my house, and unable to because the entire block is littered with golf carts on both sides of the street to listen to some off-key singer blast Frank Sinatra tunes for the next 3 hours.
So unless you can accommodate all those golf carts in front of your OWN driveway, and can give us some earbuds that will work with our non-"smart" TV set, please keep the off-key singing and Frank Sinatra tunes to yourself.

I LOVE Sinatra tunes but when they are sung by Sinatra and when I want to hear them. No, I'm not a fan of the bands in a residential neighborhood. I'll wait until we can enjoy listening to live music again at the squares again. I prefer my neighborhood to be quiet but that's just me.

There will be one on our street soon and I'm not looking forward to all the vehicles/traffic on our street. Last time there was music on the street the driver of a lost car almost hit 3 golf carts parked in the middle of the street while turning around in a driveway with 4 golf carts parked there. They turned around instead of using the cul-de-sac.

I am not a big fan. What next? Food trucks. Open up the squares and don't infringe on your neighbors who might want peace and quiet.

NO NEVER, NADA! Forcing me to Hear that deafening music would be torture. What about my right to peacefully watch my TV? Cars, carts all over blocking free axcess. What about social distancing and masks? You're going to bring the virus to my street with this crowd? Don't lecture me that it's outside. You will infect each other and spread it here in TV. What about the decibel level during one these soiree? Perhaps that is reportable to the Sheriff's dept???

Here it is - the official deed restriction about noise.
"Each owner shall use his property in such a manner as to allow his neighbors to enjoy the use of their property. Radios, record players, television, voices and other sounds are to be kept on a moderate level from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM."
One thing for sure I get from this declaration - I live in a male oriented community.

Once upon a time we all knew the message never intended to exclude females....kinda sorta general intention.....which is how most of us see/hear it.
But in today's venues everybody has a special interest of one kind or another and all want their due....which sorta amounts to picking fly specs outta the pepper.

Why would you want to force any of your neighbors to listen to music if they did not want to. Not to mention where everyone would park their vehicles (what would happen if there is an emergency). That is why we have the many venues in The Villages.
I think it s being very inconsiderate and lacks common sense; something that has been missing for a long time.

Seems everyone has a opinion. Let's suppose you go up and down your street and ask your neighbors if they would mind a musical party in your driveway. You find out it's roughly 60 / 40 with the ones closest to your home object. Would you still consider it in your driveway or find a common area close to your home and host it there? There are many large grass areas in the villages that would work.
