:wave:Please let's not have a diatribe of Bush bashing. No negativity about republicans. If you are truly a liberal, you have some positive reasons why and not just hating big business. You must have some positive reasons and beliefs.

Please share.

You asked for it.

Liberals believe in taking care of people, not just talking about it.
We believe that government is good, and can be used for the good of all mankind.

We believe that it is wrong for some to have more than they can spend while others cannot survive, many times through no fault of their own.

We believe in the goodness of mankind, that people will work and prosper for themselves, and their community, without the threat of competition for goods.

We believe that all people are created equal,as conservatives claim they believe, and that THEREFORE they should be treated equally, irregardless of of their abilities and their willingness to trample on their fellow man to get to the top of the heap.

We believe in social justice because there is no other kind that matters.

We believe that not all people will be charitable and do the right, humane thing, and therefore government, by and through the people, has the responsibility to do it when individuals don't.

We believe Everyone at some time in their life does or may need the help of government and therefore must be willing to assist government in the welfare of all people all the time.

We believe that Jesus was a liberal for all of the above reasons. Have you actually read the bible and followed it's teachings?

How's that you selfish Bush lovers?

Let me respond now

You asked for it.

Liberals believe in taking care of people, not just talking about it.
We believe that government is good, and can be used for the good of all mankind.

Americans, without government are the most charitable people on this earth.

We believe that it is wrong for some to have more than they can spend while others cannot survive, many times through no fault of their own.

Americans, without government are the most charitable people on this earth. We have taken care of these people in the past without government. Is it wrong for a person to earn as much as they are willing to work for? You'd you deny a worker the right to work overtime?

We believe in the goodness of mankind, that people will work and prosper for themselves, and their community, without the threat of competition for goods. We Agree.

We believe that all people are created equal,as conservatives claim they believe, and that THEREFORE they should be treated equally, irregardless of of their abilities and their willingness to trample on their fellow man to get to the top of the heap. You did well. How many did you trample?

We believe in social justice because there is no other kind that matters.
Define social justice as you mean it?
We believe that not all people will be charitable and do the right, humane thing, and therefore government, by and through the people, has the responsibility to do it when individuals don't. Must all people be charitable? Not all people are honest. The part of the people who are charitable are the most giving in the world. Why mess with it?
We believe Everyone at some time in their life does or may need the help of government and therefore must be willing to assist government in the welfare of all people all the time. We pay near half our income in taxes, isn't that enough?
We believe that Jesus was a liberal for all of the above reasons. Have you actually read the bible and followed it's teachings?

How's that you selfish Bush lovers?
That seemed stupid.

This part of your post is very confusing. Are you not a liberal?

I was raised in a liberal family, I was a liberal in college ( ever wonder why most students are liberal?), and a representative to the state democratic convention.
Once I got a real good paying job (lawyer) my politics went 180 because I was working for a living and viewed the fruits of my labors as my own.
I do view myself as a tea party conservative now.. very conservative.
My point is that your politcal positions often reflect your position in life.
Selfishness is seen from your current perspective.
People profess religion but refuse to live it because it conflicts with their politics or their current economic condition. Religious liberals will get you every time with "What would Jesus do?" if you are a church going person.
I know why liberals think the way they do, and their stated motives to help all people are admirable.
Politics are not that simple.
I did not do nearly as well as other lawyers who charged what they could get. I charged what they could pay.
The bush lovers comment was to show you will never get away from the poisionous dialogue.
As a very conservative person when Bush was president I was VERY disappointed with him. Too bad Republicans supported him just because he was a Republican. He surely was NOT a conservative..
He over spent, didnt veto any spending until the very end of his presidency, did nothing to stop illegal immigration, and got us into two wars that reflect the failed military policies of the last 60 years.
