Crazy driver in Buttonwood Heights. Would love help identifying the crazy driver who drove through our landscaping project stone pile on the edge of the road, strewing rocks onto our lawn, our neighbors lawn and down the street. It was an older model Lincoln Continental. Two neighbors saw it but did not get the license plate. Thank you. We spent over an 1 1/2 hours in 100+ degree heat yesterday, separating the stone from the bark chip pile that is to be removed today. The slogan ‘Florida’s Friendliest Hometown’ does not apply here. Such childish and rude behavior.

Sadly most likely driver had a medical condition which cause he or she to run your stones over....Ran out a beer :1rotfl:

He was probably stoned. Sorry that was not funny for you. Just another jerk out for a ride, oblivious to what's going on around him/her.

I didn’t know you could pile material in the street? Thought had to be in you’re driveway or on you’re property? Just asking cause I have project that would be much easier if I could pile it in the street.

Contractors pile rocks in the street all the time in courtyard villa areas. If there is a rule, there has been no enforcement.

When you see those old swayback Lincolns, Grand Marquis, Caddy's with vinyl roofs--you can almost bet to a certainty--they should have given up driving years ago

The odds are they did not intentionally hit your stones, they didn't see them-- give them a little time & they too--will take out a street light in a round about

Were there orange cones around the material warning drivers of the hazard?

Whoever ran over your pile of rocks has done some real damage to their car, both undercarriage and down the sides of the car. Should be easy enugh to trace if someone wanted to do so.

Non-villagers checking out the neighborhood?

Yes, orange cone there. I think it might be an elderly neighbor who accidentally ran over them. And yes, maybe shouldn’t be driving. Wish they had stopped and left a note, but figured they didn’t know they ran over the pile.

I think it was rude of you to pile a bunch of stuff in the road.

You should have put it on your driveway or put it in your yard on a plastic tarp.

That's what I thought when I read " older Lincoln continental " .

Crazy, rude, childish, elderly, non-Villager, stoned, medical condition, jerk.

A lot of guessing and stereotyping. Where is Joe Friday?

I agree. Most of those you just described have probably lost most of their depth perception by now.

Beware of the 75Chrysler with Corinthian Leather Trim--or an old Caddy with gold Vogue tires

It was probably just a driver who likes to have fun running over things.

I guess you learned to not put your stuff in the road.

In the few months living here amazed at some of the people that are able to keep their licenses.
