So it was a REALLY long quarantine and Husband and I read a ton of books. I saw that the libraries have re-opened and I took in 3 shopping bags to donate. NOPE. No donations accepted at this time. Took the 3 shopping bags back to my car and said a dirty word. Is ANYONE (other than GoodWill) accepting used books? Thanks.

You might consider Access to this page has been denied. (http://www.thriftbooks.com). I buy books from these people, but I buy older mysteries which you can no longer get. They may be interested in your collection of books. You could also consider contacting the various book clubs in TV, they all have sales later in the year and someone may want them.

Click on my link or if that does not work find thrift books dot com.

You might try the used book store in Colony Plaza. They may even give you credit toward the purchase of more used books. Or, you could call the assisted living and independent living facilities because some of them have libraries.

I usually go into the library and buy large print fiction books for my mom that is in assisted living. After she reads them, she passes on to the other residents. If you have those, please let me know and I’ll buy them from you.

I was just wondering ............... in the midst of this pandemic, would anyone take used books, especially elder housing.

I doubt it as no assisted living facility or nursing home are allowing visitors. You could call and ask. But again, I doubt it due to possible liability.

Why not just go to the library? I read a lot and never have a problem finding a book, reserving it online and going to pick it up.
