View Full Version : Right Turn Lane at Buena Vista North and RT 466

I was playing golf at Hawkes Bay this morning and noticed that they are working on putting in a right turn lane at the corner of Buena Vista North and Rt 466.

Not sure how long it is going to take but be ready for the traffic if you are headed south to 466 or across 466. It is one lane at the present.

Are they adding a lane like they did at Morse and 466, or remarking the right lane to make it right turn only?

They are actually digging up the ground to add a turn lane.

They have been working on that all week. Seems to be moving along pretty quick!

Get ready for a big traffic back up if your going south bound on buena vista. I went thru there twice in the last four days but i was going northbound. Both days southbound traffic was backed up to the stoplite going into the polo field. Even farther than that the first day.

If you are south bound on Buena Vista and want to go west on 466, I would turn right at the polo field or at the gate between the polo field and the Savannah Center circle and get to 466 that way. Much quicker if the traffic is backed up on Buena Vista.

Drove by there today, Sunday, and it looks like they will have it completed shortly. Meanwhile, expect serious traffic backup as mentioned above.

I am impressed with how fast they work and impressed with the fact that they continue to make needed infrastructure improvements to the areas that are already built out, including this intersection and the cart paths on the north side.
