Can anyone tell me where to go to get fingerprinted for concealed carry?
I have spoken to Sumter County and Lake County police: not doing them. Sumter Tax office: not doing them. Dept of Ag and Licensing: no.
Please only respond if you were successful finding an office that is currently open. Thank you.

I had my prints made at the Lady Lake Police Station for $5 in 2012. That's on 441/27 across from Kohls and next to Miller's Ale House. (police station is behind city hall)

Anyplace that makes passport photos. Walmart, Walgreens etc all used to do photos for passports.

I think that Posts Nos. 3, 4, 6, and 7 have outdated or erroneous information. Many places are no longer doing fingerprinting.

After a total runaround, I learned:
Do not apply online!! Bushnell will process by appointment only, and they do it all, fingerprint, photo, etc. They will not let you make an appointment if you applied online. If you do, you must order a fingerprint card and get them done at the Jail in Bushnell. The Post place in Ocala can no longer do concealed carry.
Thanks everyone for your responses.

In 2016, I went to the Sumter County Tax Collector’s office on Powell Road. I had the application and my finger prints taken there - - - Electronically!!!! Got my CC License in the mail in 13 days!!! Maybe they are not doing it now because of COVID-19??

3 weeks ago I had mine (EVERYTHING) done at Bushnell.
Call them and make an appointment.
It'll probably be a week or more till you get in.
It's the ONLY way, currently.
Everyone else's suggestions MAY have been accurate at some point, but not NOW.

I went to the Sumter CO. offices in Pinellas Plaza (The library building). Went to the drivers license people for my concealed carry, there is an office in back where they take your application, information and fingerprints.

I used a Marion County Sheriff's office a few years ago.
I also used a Marion County Sheriff's office located off of Buena Vista at Rt42 in The Villages. Don't know if they will do it now, but they did when I got mine. I recently renewed my CCW on line and didn't have to redo fingerprints. Just had to provide them with a digital photo for the ID.

I wasn't and they did mine. Maybe they changed their policy?

So did I, but they are not doing it now. Last year, you could get it done almost anywhere, but most places have stopped because of the coronavirus.

We went to the Lake County Sheriff’s office in Tavares. They offer the digital printing and they are automatically sent in as soon as you have them done. You just have to have your Concealed permit application number.

This thread is about trying to find a place that is doing fingerprints for a concealed carry permit now, not places that were doing them last year or 5 years ago. Most places that did them last year are not doing them now.

We got ours done at the county office where you pay your taxes (can't remember the exact name of it). It is in the same building as the Library at Pinellas.

They should also have a list of places where you can get it since they are the the department that manages the CWP

Wherever you took your CC class should be able to direct you to a place. I took my at Florida Gun Supply in Inverness and they had all of the paperwork filled out with detailed instructions on where to go for everything. They made it very simple.

And the problem is what? The CCW required training is great and it's only the first step in continuing education on firearm safety and proficiency.
The only problem I see in all of the increase in permits exercising your 2nd Amendment right, is that I can't find any more guns and ammo on the shelves.
Buy stock in SWBI and VSTO like I have. They're zooming upward because of the demand.
It's better to be safe than sorry.
Just read the news about some of the lowlifes being arrested in the surrounding areas just about every day.
When a home intrusion, car jacking, or mugging happens and you're waiting for a social worker to arrive you may not survive.
Now everyome is running for their carry permit. People that never shot a gun in their life.
