Now that Sumter County has repaved all of the parts of Morse Blvd that DIDN'T need to be repaved, when do you think they will get around to paving the section between O'Del Circle and Stillwater Trail? That section had the most patches and pot holes yet there is no signage or equipment stationed to indicate that they will get to it soon. Maybe they will say they need another 25% tax increase to complete the job.

There's a few other threads about that. Seems they just appropriated the funds for the next FY and it will get done sometime in October. Can't figure for the life of me why after doing probably 40miles of roads they didn't do that 1.2 mile section.

A 25% tax increase in a single year doesn’t go as far as it used to. Clearly long range planning isn’t a strong suit of the current Sumter County commissioners

Probably so they are guaranteed a return trip in the new budget year outside the direct summer heat. JMO

They postponed it until the last so they could justify another tax increase. And of course the developer needs new roads south of 44 first. We need new commissioners in Sumter county. Also repeal One Sumter.

Repairs to that section of Morse were subject to partial funding coming from the state budget which was signed by the governor the end of June. Sumter County commissioners now need to approve acceptance of the state funds at a meeting in July. So maybe in the near term work would start.
