The virus is real. We are told beach goers, bars, restaurants, churches, etc. all are the problem. Not BLM marches, riots and protest. They are OK?

New York City is banning fairs, parades and concerts over concerns about large gatherings of people amid the threat of the coronavirus. BLM protests are still ok.

1000 health and medical workers recently penned and signed a letter supporting BLM protests: (but not other types of protests)

We can show that support by facilitating safest protesting practices without detracting from demonstrators’ ability to gather and demand change. This should not be confused with a permissive stance on all gatherings, particularly protests against stay-home orders. Those actions not only oppose public health interventions, but are also rooted in white nationalism and run contrary to respect for Black lives matter.

This is why any statements by medical authorities or Doctors should be scrutinized heavily. Some of them are completely driven by bias not medical science.

Well, yeah. They do support "demonstrations against systemic injustice occurring during the COVID-19 pandemic" while encouraging safe practices. They specifically only condemn those "protesting stay-home orders and calls for widespread public masking."

Actually, politicians have it right. Allow BLM full access to the streets and give them a free venue to get sweaty and pass their deadly virus from one to another. That way, we get rid of a lot of trouble makers and no one is the wiser. Since it is an election year, everyone is on board with the theme that there is a systemic racism in America, and no politician will criticize or condemn the protests in fear that they will lose votes. On the other hand, if the virus takes out a few hundred or thousands, no one is to blame but themselves. Typical of chicken liver politicians.

I’ve heard this from my liberal friends. Many protesters must take their masks off for the pictures taken by the media then!

Yes ... data shows no spike after the protests. Reasoning may be simply that there were so many masks. The Tulsa indoor rally for the president, on the other hand, did show big results. Indoors.

Here's an interesting piece from MIT. Relates to indoor spaces and scientists’ evolving thinking. I hope it helps.

If the coronavirus is really airborne, we might be fighting it the wrong way
If the coronavirus is really airborne, we might be fighting it the wrong way | MIT Technology Review (https://www.technologyreview.com/2020/07/11/1005087/coronavirus-airborne-fighting-wrong-way/)

Takeaways:

Staying Safe: “strict mask use” … “the virus sheds like crazy” …. but for masks to really stop the transmission they have to be tight and worn all the time (even around family) .. “sanitizing every single surface … huge waste of time.”

Variables: longer time indoors … restaurants, bars, offices, classrooms, churches. Ventilation needs to be a higher priority (big problem in older buildings). UV Light dissipates the virus in air in less than a minute.

Advice = stay in well ventilated areas with as few people as possible and spend as little time as possible in enclosed spaces.

Look at the video or photos and compare beaches, bars, etc to the protests. The most significant difference is the overwhelming majority of protestors wear masks. Nobody to very few on the beaches or in the bars or at Trump rallies are wearing them.

Backed by "one group", which group please is an ambiguous statement. A black Federal judge is a member of our family; he has been stopped for "driving while black" many times. How ofter are white people stopped for "driving while white"? The list goes on and on. This country was built on the backs of Black Americans, but never have they been given the opportunities of other ethnic groups. Suppression has always been the key in the treatment of Black Americans. Suppress a group long enough and they will rise up.

Their demands? To be able to live without fear. To be treated with equality, respect, and dignity. Make them happy, not to be killed because they are black.

That's because science tells us the virus is INCREDIBLY smart. It's able to discriminate between the noble and the great unwashed. Whenever the virus detects a BLM protestor, or even rioter, it says "this is a good person ... do not infect him or her."

There are numerous studies that support this somewhat controversial finding.

It gets really annoying when people cannot read my mind. What’s with that? I’ve read so many responses to posts where people obviously were able to read other people’s minds. So I thought that was a given. Guess I was wrong yet again. You said something about white racists will be blamed if BLM gets the virus. We know they will blame us and we know that blame will be a lie. However if we listen to their lie enough times we’ll begin to believe we’re white racists and caused them to get the virus. Reparations will definitely be in order. So instead of calling them lies just keep listening to their lies and eventually you’ll believe them. Worked for me. I kept telling my wife I was a nice guy. Eventually she married me. Proof in the pudding.

BLM protesters are all colors and many thousands of them are white Christians that actually believe that Jesus said to "love one another". Some mainstream protestant denominations I am familiar with are firm in their beliefs that every human has value. I am proud of my friends in the big cities who are pastors and who are encouraging their congregants to raise their voices for justice. Micah 6:8 says "and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." I fear that many who call themselves Christians today have forgotten or choose to ignore what is expected. It is our responsibility to stand up for those who are not treated justly. I realize that train of thought does not currently line up politically with many right now but maybe it's time for some self reflection. At our life's end we will have to account for how we treated each other.

I agree with your first sentence. The "one group" needs to be identified or the statement leaves you wondering.
Second sentence is just sad that a Federal judge would be pulled over. If asked why, I doubt the officer would have said "because you are black". There must have been more to the story than that, but some people (of all races, etc) think they are the only ones that ever get picked on. I have heard of DWI, but I don't think DWB is the only reason that one may be stopped.
I have often heard the phrase, " this country was built on the backs of Black Americans". This statement implies that only black people, and no other group, had anything to do with the creation of or the success of this country. Almost every immigrant, religious or ethnic group has used a variation of that angry, self-serving and extremely biased phrase as justification for their actions.
As to the "suppression of Black Americans", I offer that, again, every immigrant, religious or ethnic has felt some oppression at one time or another. Black Americans may have had it more so than other groups, but the experience is not unique to blacks alone, and to imply it is denigrates the struggles and successes of all other Americans.
As to the demands, I find most of them very reasonable. EVERYONE should be treated with equality, dignity and respect. And no one should feel afraid solely because of their color. But I respectfully disagree with having to "make them happy". Only you can make yourself happy. There are many people, not just in this country, but around the world who seemingly have everything they could possibly want and yet they are miserable. Others have nothing yet find joy in the simplest things. Trying to "make them happy" is an exercise in futility.
There are Black Americans in every walk of life that have become leaders, successful in their own right, with wealth, status and respect. Even the highest office in the land is not beyond reach. So, time to put away the anger and blaming of others for long past grievances, for those things only blind you to opportunities to make the country and the world a better place, with equality, dignity and respect for EVERYONE.

Thank you. Sometimes one needs to state the obvious numerous times before an inkling seeps through what seems to be a concrete barrier on some folks.
Isn't it interesting that our Chinese Americans are not protesting in the streets because they built the rail road? How about our Japanese Americans that were interned/imprisoned in camps during WWII? Everyone has a gripe if they want to assume some form of liability against an ancestor. Time for some to quit making excuses and instead, thank their god that they were born or immigrated to this great country. Half the world (at least) if asked what country would they live in if given a chance, would say the U.S. of A. And they would end up being better citizens than at least half the ones living today.

"Suppression has always been the key in the treatment of Black Americans."

Anyone who bothers to study history, even if they refuse to publicly acknowledge it, can't help but know your statement as being true.

From slavery, to Reconstruction handled mostly by southern officials, to Jim Crow laws, to intimidation by glorifying confederate leaders with statues and monuments, to a lack of effort in prosecuting racist law enforcement, to laws trying to limit black turnout, etc., proves it.

Please let me try to present a different perspective.

The excuse our family member was given is that he was "driving a nice car similar to one that had been reported stolen." As soon as he produced his identification, there was much backpedaling by the officers. He is not the only upper middle class Black person I know who has been pulled over for no obvious reason. The response is almost always "driving a car similar to one that was reported stolen." I guess they don't bother checking license plates.

You also have to remember that other ethnic groups, who have had struggles but been assimilated, came here of their own volition and are white. After the accent disappears, usually with the first generation, there is nothing to denote that the children of immigrants are different from other white Americans.

Systemic Racism is a lie, period.

Very well said thank you for your post. If only our politicians would speak out on the above in an honest manner.

Explain how rioting, looting and babies getting shot to death in their car seats is in any way helping or elevating anyone or why injustices that happened a hundred years ago is reason to destroy once prospering businesses and ruin lives?

This group is the most heinous, incendiary and terroristic bunch of people who continue to be given free rein by the mealy mouth politicians and business entities who are afraid to lose votes or business. Our first amendment rights are being systematically destroyed. No one has the guts to speak up for fear of offending the perpetually offended crowd. I speak up for America and against those who wish to destroy her. I emigrated from a communist country (Cuba) and what's happening here happens there daily. The similarities are terrifying and If we want totalitarianism and oppression, look no further than 90 miles south of Key West.

Enough protesting. What are their demands? Who is in charge of them? What the heck will make them happy?

Nothing will make them happy because all they do is raise the bar every time we give in.

The question is what will stop them? Answer is when the police finally use what's in their holsters. It's the only language the Marxists historically have ever understood.

Sorry. Not trying to argue with you, but just trying to share perspective from an obviously different background.
I grew up on the west coast in an ethnically diverse community. As kids, we played together, went to school together, etc. In the service I served with a racially and religiously diverse group. In civilian life I, again, worked with a diverse group of folks and many of those were my superiors. I never experienced or observed "systemic racism". I have known people that got into trouble and claimed it was because "they pick on me because" ...(insert reason/excuse here: ie, I'm gay, I'm Jewish, I'm a woman, etc). As far as the backpedaling, anyone who ever did, said something to a superior only to realize the other individual was their superior just might try to come up with an excuse for their mistake. "No, boss. I wasn't calling you an idiot. I was just talking to myself."
As to your statement that all other immigrants came of their own volition, that is not totally true. The English routinely banished "undesirables" to the colonies to serve "their betters here. Chinese were robbed and Shanghai and sent here as servants or to work on the railroads. There are many more tales of woe. And, not all Black Americans were brought here as slaves. Many came of their own volition to escape injustice from their own people in Africa, or more recently, to make a better life as other groups have done.
As you can see, " all came here of their own volition and are white" is not quite correct. Asians, Hispanics, Middle Eastern people, Pacific Islanders, and others might be offended at being called "white". And even the accent is dependent on the language spoken in the home.
In conclusion, I simply wanted to share a perspective from a different part of the American experience. What I keep hoping for is an America that is like my experience as a child, with everyone working together, playing together, treating one another with fairness, equality and mutual respect and love. What I don't want is a country divided by anger and hatred, violence and destruction. As the man once said, "United we stand, divided we fall." No one is perfect, but we can try to be better.
Stay well. Stay safe. Peace!

I’m a Christian, BLM does none of what you said, it is whites that are treated unjustly and with hate, and I’m disgusted with Christians that support BLM. Whites are not being treated like they have value, they are being denigrated 24/7. It is BLM supporters that are going to have to account for how they treated others at life’s end. I wonder how many churches are driving Christians away because of this.

Yes ... data shows no spike after the protests.

Ahhh, someone with FACTS !!! Too bad! Facts fall on deaf ears down here in The Villages.

and yet ANOTHER wonderful weekend in Chicago... and where is the MAINSTREAM MEDIA and BLM leaders??? shhhhh.....

47 shot, 7 dead in Chicago this weekend

Mayor Lori Lightfoot never assumes any responsibility for the shootings and murders in Chicago. If she is not responsible as she would have us believe, should we then compliment her for a job well done? Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, yet the shootings are out of control. It’s safer in Kabul.

There are 59 active gangs and more than 70,000 gang members in Chicago. Yet, Lightfoot blames the federal government, claiming they need a federal strategy on reducing the number of guns. Meanwhile, the federal government did offer to help Chicago and she refused the help.

Also, criminals who commit gun crimes get right out of jail.

This weekend 47 were shot and 7 died, ABC 7 reported. A teen was shot standing in a park, another teen, a 14-year-old was killed while standing on the street. His family said, “I’m sick of it. I’m tired of it. We talk about Black Lives Matter, but I’m sick and tired of what’s going on in the streets,” said Erikka Gordon, the boy’s aunt.

The boy was the brother of a boy recently killed.

Three women were shot in the Avalon Park. One of the women died. The other two, 28-year-olds, are in fair condition.

A 52-year-old man was shot in the neck and died after an argument.

During the Fourth of July weekend, 87 people were shot and 17 died, 13 of those were minors.

Mother reportedly murdered for saying ‘all lives matter’?
By M. Dowling -July 12, 2020

An Indianapolis mother, Jessica Doty Whitaker was shot and killed following an altercation with Black Lives Matter thugs or supporters of BLM who were upset that she and her fiance said “All Lives Matter” on July 5th.

According to her grandfather, Dale Snavely, she was murdered for saying ‘all lives matter.’

It didn’t make national news.

“According to the victim’s family, the shooting started with an argument over Black Lives Matter and language. Eventually, the two sides separated and walked away from each other, until witnesses claim the killer opened fire from a nearby bridge and ran away,” Fox 59 reports.

“It was squashed and they went up the hill and left we thought, but they were sitting on St. Claire waiting for us to come under the bridge and that’s when she got shot,” the victim’s fiancé Jose Ramirez told the station.

Jose admits he returned fire but didn’t hit anyone. He says Jessica Doty Whitaker leaves behind a little boy.

“She shouldn’t have lost her life. She’s got a 3-year-old son she loved dearly,” said Ramirez.

Her grandfather posted on Facebook that “multiple black assailants” from BLM shot her in the head.

Minneapolis Mayor Frey Asks for Help From Feds as Shootings Escalate to Chicago-Like Levels
|JUN 23, 2020

Since Memorial day, there have been 111 people shot in the city of Minneapolis. That may be only a single weekend’s total for their large neighbor to the southeast, Chicago, but the City of Lakes has less than a quarter the population and is well on its way to achieving Windy City-like levels of mayhem.

Minneapolis is becoming a shooting gallery. In one incident early Sunday morning, 1 person was killed and 11 wounded in a progressive mass shooting that wound its way through city’s uptown area. On Monday, three more shootings wounded nine more people. According to citypages.com, Minneapolis’s ShotSpotter system has recorded more than 1600 gunshots in the last month.

In a press conference yesterday, Minneapolis’s Zoolander-like Mayor Jacob Frey, described what the city’s police officers are encountering when they respond to 911 calls.

“There have been several instances in which law enforcement, and our police officers have responded to a very serious critical incident, in some cases involving loss of life, where they’ve been surrounded, pelted bottles, rocks, or even worse,” Frey said. “That is not a dynamic that will lead to success, that is not a dynamic that will lead to public safety. And it certainly does not serve the victims of shootings or any other form of violence.”

Given the ineffectiveness of the city’s police force in the current circumstances, Frey announced that he’s called for help from state and federal law enforcement agencies.

The mayor said the city will receive assistance from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department, Metro Transit Police, the State Patrol, the FBI, the Secret Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) to investigate the shootings.

As we’ve pointed out, defunding or otherwise neutering the effectiveness of local law enforcement inevitably has a disproportionately negative effect on…black people. But that didn’t stop the city’s far-left city council from voting to do just that. Unanimously.
The predictable impact of this on the city’s minorities has been unmistakable so far.

Joining Frey at his Monday press conference, Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo pointed out “many” of the victims in recent shootings are Black.

“The number of gunshot wound victims, specifically to our African Amercian community, in young men — their lives are not disposable,” Arradondo said.

He added: “This cannot become our normal, as a city. This is unacceptable, and as your chief, I cannot tolerate this here. People have to be held accountable when they come in and do harm to our communities.”

Meaningless platitudes by the man who heads a department full of hobbled, demoralized, reluctant officers who can’t possibly be effective in responding to — let alone preventing — crime in the toxic atmosphere that pervades the city. The Chief’s words carry zero weight and every Minneapolitan knows it.

Will calling in the Secret Service, the FBI and the ATF make a difference? Will they be patrolling the city’s streets in such a way as to deter more gunfire and bodies? Or will it take armed National Guard troops on every corner to make a noticeable difference? Is that a step Mayor Frey is willing to consider? Or will his preferred solution be to send in an army of social services workers to heal the city’s population?

That's because science tells us the virus is INCREDIBLY smart. It's able to discriminate between the noble and the great unwashed. Whenever the virus detects a BLM protestor, or even rioter, it says "this is a good person ... do not infect him or her."

There are numerous studies that support this somewhat controversial finding.

Please Google Marxist organization. Black Live Matters hardly looks like one unless you are looking for a bumper sticker like approach to life. Or a fortune cookie one.

Sorry you missed the comments of a BLM prime leader when it come to Marxist organization..

In my opinion BLM is a worldwide scam taking millions of dollars in support money and showing very little if any public accomplishments . Any resistance to it and white people and others are labeled racist ,it is long past racism let’s call it out for what it is. A global hate organization fostering chaos and destruction.

The virus is real. We are told beach goers, bars, restaurants, churches, etc. all are the problem. Not BLM marches, riots and protest. They are OK?
EXACTLY. THE spiked happened right after these “peaceful” protest! Go figure. We were not allowed to be in a group of 10 or more, but they let these protests go on? Cause it’s the law? This country is messed up. And it’s all the young people getting this “bad” flu.
