If you look at the pre-owned homes on the Property of The Villages web site to see what is currently for sale please be warned that there is a bug in their program. If you look at a home listing, try VLS#208270, you will see that the property is listed as being in the Village of Hemingway which according to the address listed it is. But if you look at the Google map insert for the exact location it shows it as being north of 466. Other listings point to the same pin pointed location. Then all of a sudden you get one that the map shows the correct location.

I first thought that it may have been a factor that this was a newer street but that is not the case. A patio villa in Bonnybrook also shows in the incorrect location and that unit was built a few years ago.

While we are on the subject of that site, oh how I wish they would say how many days on the market and give the model. I am familiar with models now after two years, but I feel sorry for new people trying to figure out just what they want to buy.

I have a couple of houses that I like that I have watched for several months and one has been on the site and then listed by an outside realtor and now is back on the site, 19 thousand more than it was before.

That seems to be only on new listings that they have yet to add the map location. I saw it on one home, then went back later and it was corrected.

Isn't there a web master for the site that you can email your concerns?

It's Google Maps that is the issue. They have a note at the bottom of any Google Map generated that says Report an error (really small). I find that once I report an error, it seams to start coming up correctly after that. It's a little confusing how to report but finally figured it out (I just needed to read the instructions WOW what a novel idea). You have to move the little balloon to where the address should be, then fill in the form and submit.
