YES, you have great abs and a great tan.
YES, I ADMIT I AM JEALOUS!

But as you speed down the PUBLIC MULTI-MODAL paths likely at close to 15-20mph (because you are on the tail of golf carts) PLEASE WEAR A SHIRT. It's gross enough with your sweat flying off behind you when there is no pandemic but please have a little courtesy for others particularly those of us who are walking. NOT saying you are going to give me Covid. Likely not. But why take a chance? If you want to go shirtless and spray your bodily fluids behind you please do it in the street where I can turn on my wipers.

NOTE: This is mostly the "speed bikers" not the casual folks out for a ride.

Not good for them (road rash) if they come off, so why some riders choose not to wear a shirt...?

As a walker, I understand your comment, but have never had the experience of having a shirtless biker ride pass spraying body fluids. Don't even recall a shirtless biker. This is perhaps an irritating sight that provokes an image but not a likely COVID issue.

I can see it now a Villager going 60 MPH on a golf cart path to receive a road rash as you pictured... ;)

Guess you weren't on Morse MMP around 8:45 by Mallory GC northbound and around 9:20 this morning Southbound from Stillwater. Guy was about 10' behind a golf cart up the path so anywhere between 15-20mph sweating like the proverbial pig as it was near 85 & humid as he passed about 4 feet from us. We have seen a couple as we walk 6 days from Amelia to LSL in the mornings. I'm sure my wife was thinking she wished I looked like him :) but that wasn't the point although it was probably his point. No helmet either.

The virus is not spread through sweat. It’s spread through respiratory droplets. A shirt will not help unless you want him to wear it on his face.

The fact is that it is entirely legal to ride a bicycle without a shirt in a public place in Florida, whether you are male or female. You can even ride without shoes and pants if you like. Indeed, you can even ride stark naked so long as your intent is not to be lewd or lascivious. That’s the Florida law! Without question, you can ride in a bikini or a Speedo if you want to without fear of arrest. Sweat may fall off in drops, but it doesn’t “fly off” like water shaken off by a dog. If it falls to the ground, no harm is done at all, and drops do fall to the ground. They are NOT aerosolized like a cough that can project a mist of virus particles across a room.

Talk about losing our freedoms because we have to wear a mask in a store (I wear mine and don’t complain)—what about the right to not have to wear a shirt? I read an article a few minutes ago about a 62 year old man who was arrested because he got drunk and sent a nude selfie to a 17 year old girl (what an idiot!). She complained because he was “gross”. “Gross” is how we look to a large percentage of younger people, clothed or not. Post a photo of two people our age kissing, and many young people will say, “Oh, gross!” Mention that you are 65 (male or female) and would like to have sex, and your children and grandchildren will probably say, “Oh! That’s so gross!” or “Too much information!”

How long will it be until young America wants us to wear face coverings when we are outside because they find our wrinkles offensive? How long before we aren’t allowed on a public beach unless we are dressed in a tent because other beach-goers find our obesity and sags and bulges offensive?

So, in response, I say, “If you are hot and sweating in a public place, feel free to take off your shirt! If other people find that offensive, tough!” I find tattoos offensive, but I can’t do anything about it. I find sports caps as fashion apparel offensive, especially if they are on backwards, but I can’t do anything about it. I find pants pulled down low to expose boxer shorts offensive, but I can’t do anything about it. I find tramp stamps offensive, but I can’t do anything about it. I find jeans with holes in the knees offensive, but I can’t do anything about it. I find big SUVs and pickup trucks offensive, but I can’t do anything about it. I even wish I were slim and trim and without wrinkles and handsome, but at least it’s not illegal to be an old curmudgeon.

I rarely see shirtless bikers but thats their choice. I doubt that their sweat is drenching you as they speed by and no, you wont get the virus from them either.

I wish I could sit down with poor people around the world that live in communist countries, stand in long lines for food, sleep on dirt floors and wear whatever clothes that we discard. I would tell them about how hard life is in the villages. Maybe then they would see what true suffering is like. 😉

Being shirtless is not attractive. Do I go out without a top and bra? No, so men it's nit attractive. Put your shirts on. No one wants to see you.

If someone hasn't spent time in a third world stink hole they have no idea what a hard life is.

they should have their own bike paths. I am really tired of getting behind 20 cyclists holding up traffic on the roads and golf cart paths. Drive up to the Ocala woods and ride there.

After your long drawn out diatribe which turned a simple comment about "bike riders PLEASE wear a shirt" (which never suggested it was or was not legal) into yet another diatribe on the "you can do what you want because it's a free county" and discussing sex with your children and OF COURSE yet another face mask tyranny complaint (talk about complaining!), and tattoos and on and on ad nauseum when all that was asked in the topic was Bike Riders: PLEASE wear a shirt on the **PUBLIC PATHS**.

So how do you REALLY feel about that actual suggestion? :1rotfl:

The virus is not spread through sweat. It’s spread through respiratory droplets. A shirt will not help unless you want him to wear it on his face. You are correct indeed regarding sweat. I learned something there after fact checking. [/facetious On] However your final suggestion would be an excellent idea because they often spit and cough while riding past walkers on their bikes but that would be against all our country stands for. [/facetious Off]
