The NFAC group met today to protest yadda yadda.
They were armed with AR-15s (aka spooky assault rifles) and other weapons. Unfortunately, one of the members accidentally shot several of his comrades.
One really should not use these weapons unless you've been trained and know what you're doing ... just my opinion.

This is not exactly “The Gang that Couldn’t Shoot Straight.” It’s a nightmare scenario. Armed militia groups from opposite teams marching toward each other and eager to fight. These aren’t kids in hoodies in a low rent neighborhood shooting at each other.

By “us” I’m assuming he means people that don’t march in city in a civilian militia with AR rifles.
You do know that BLM is a self admitted Marxist group that is furthering their anti cop, anti capitalism, anti American agenda by using race to divide “us”? Why don’t we know where their money is going except to ActBlue? I wonder what kind of world our grandchildren will be living in

Make it racist; go ahead and speculate. Troll.....

Unless you are a law enforcement officer and thus with training, there is no reason to own an AR-15 or similar weapon. How many of these idiots have permits to openly carry in public? Without such, they should have been arrested.
Hayek1957

As written, I understood the “us” reference as law-abiding people who don’t handle firearms in a negligent manner in population dense environments.
Of course, some individuals are creative enough to contort every statement into a racial perspective.

I probably guess Law enforcement don’t use ar15s. The use The real ones, M16s. Ar15 no different than any other semi-automatic rifle it just looks different and made cheaper.

I've plenty of Blacks, Asians and Hispanics that I would include with "us". And I've met plenty of whites that I wouldn't.
Please stop trying to divide us among racial lines.

Agree he doesn't qualify for an award, but he gets honorable mention because he managed to wound three of his comrades which is an accomplishment. Usually a foolish shooter only harms himself.

The uninformed have no idea what an AR-15 is and more importantly what it is not.
All they know is if it is black it is an AR-15.

Why? Where can we drive that fast in public? Between the rifle and the vehicles guess which kills 100 times more innocents per year? Just because you put racing stripes on a Prius doesn't make it any faster or more dangerous and the same goes for an AR or AK.. Yep no REASON to own an AR15 but in America just like the Vette and the Honda the law says you can and being responsible with any of the 3 are on the owner and not society..

Excellent response. There is a difference between need and want. How many US citizens Need to use tobacco or drink alcohol? But they do because it’s legal and they want to. Yet how many hundreds of thousands die each year from satisfying their wants? Let’s look at auto accidents - Approximately 50,000 people die each year. Of those approximately 10,000 are related to alcohol. Probably the majority of the other 40,000 were speeding related. The sad thing is many of those that died were neither the speeding nor the impaired driver. They were bystanders. So let’s only make 2 cylinder 50 hp cars that cannot exceed 60 mph. Probably those who oppose guns would oppose this requirement which would save thousands of lives. As for real men. Real men wrote the 2nd Amendment for a real reason. Many people do not understand the underlying reason for its existence and some that do do not believe anything like that could happen here. Look around you and think again. People don’t need to shoot an AR at a shooting range. They’re right. Also people don’t need to jump out of perfectly good airplanes, dive 300 feet below the surface into dark caves, die climbing Mt Everest, race cars and motorcycles at 200+ mph but they want to and enjoy it. In response to the statement that real men don’t need guns some might say a man is not a real man if he doesn’t have a weapon to protect his family.

Well said but there are some, maybe many, on this board that literally have no idea what you're saying. Using their logic, however, we would ban automobiles along with guns, parachutes and other things that could hurt you. Maybe like fire or matches too?

And it's always Nazi Germany, never the communist party and communist Russia or China. Communist governments have enslaved and exterminated millions more people than Nazi Germany. Not trying to minimize the evil of Nazism but Communism makes the Nazis look like amateurs.
In the pantheon of 20th century mass murderers, Mao comes in first having killed about 60-70M people while trying to build his "socialist" (ie communist )utopia on earth. Stalin and Hitler were 2nd and 3rd. I think Stalin was about 20M ... Hitler also in the many millions
People forget, by the way, that the "Nazis" were also a socialist totalitarian party.

Exactly, the number always show that the Marxists are far more dangerous. Not that that makes Nazis ok both groups are very evil but the greater evil is not referenced for some reason.
Personally, I take comfort that so many in TV have guns. They have lived to retire, not like the city gangs who never get out of their teens. Military style weapons should not be needed though with an adequate and trusted police force.
