One of my teeth is telling me it is time to see a dentist.

Could someone please recommend a good honest one.

Thanks so much.

And would be a plus if they were part of the Humana Gold Network.

I don't know if he is in your network, but my experiences with Dr Hall at Villages Dental have been very good.

Dr Timothy Pruitt, (352) 589-5660. Don't know about Humana and if you are travel adverse might not work. His practice is in Tavares but he has an excellent practice.

Palm Ridge Dental (http://www.palmridgedental.net) is excellent, including the front office staff. I've used both Dr. Williams and Dr. Jaber. They do charge slightly more than average and my guess is they won't take your insurance.

My experience has been that dental insurance plans are fairly restrictive as far as providers go. You may need to check Humana to see who's in network locally and proceed from there.

Good luck and I hope you're not in pain with this.

We recently found Dr. Williams after finally realizing we had to give up our beloved dentist up North. She and her staff are wonderful! Be careful with your choice. Some real bad guys out there. You’d need to call about your insurance 352-391-9930. Very, very efficient, professional staff. Good luck.

Wow.....he is a great dentist, he was originally vetted by a person that was responsible for hiring dentists up north....when we moved here I called her and asked where am I going and she said Dr. Pruitt. When you get this tooth fixed you might want to consider a January appointment.....the practice is worth it.

Dr. Wadsworth. She and her husband have a dental business. We have gone there for years. They only do what’s necessary.

Dr. Cliff Buehrer on the south side of Ocala. A half-hour drive from Mallory. He’s a University of Michigan dental school grad. My wife and I make our appointments together and then head for Harry’s Grille (our favorite in Ocala) for lunch.

VIP Dentistry in the Villages is great. Like many dentists they do not accept insurance but provide the forms to apply to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

Hendry comes highly recommended but when I last checked was not taking new patients. We use Dr. Howell on 466 and like him. Note that he will submit billing to your insurance but he is not in any of the networks.

The lady I spoke to said for dental emergencies he could see me fairly soon but for regular visits he is booked up till January.

Was shocked to hear it but that is what she said. Would think that if this is the case it is time to stop accepting new patients.

Why would you just not be grateful that they can see you? Most dentists will do everything to accommodate if you’re in pain.

That is why I asked for recommendation and thankfully got lots of answers.

Spent a lot of time yesterday calling and most were not accepting new patients and the ones that were had questionable references.

Monday have a lot of possibilities

Thanks all

When I do business with people am also looking for long term relationship. Someone with whom we need an appointment six months in advance is not for me.

Of course if I was in great pain would do what needed to be done to get it taken care of immediately but now hopefully have a bit of time to make a choice.
