Not sure where to ask question about lawyer recommendations. We are new and were planning to do the snowbird thing but now want to be Florida residents. We want to change our wills to conform to Florida law. Not sure if we should be asking for help getting Florida residency. Any advice or lawyer recommendations?

Used her to change state of incorporation when we moved here earlier this year. Very efficient and always did what she said she would do.

Waiting until we are comfortable having a face to face meeting and will ask her to update our will to Florida law.

Also a villager and on a CDD board. He has seminars you can attend to explain what he does. He sets up revokable trusts. Trusts skip probate and have other advantages. He advertises in the Daily Sun and on the **************.com. Very reasonable price for the service, much less than we paid a lawyer up north for a simple will.

Apparently I can't have a web URL, so ************** dot com is what is bleeped out above.

So this portal is pretty smart. V.i.l.l.a.g.e.s-N.e.w.s. dot com, let's try this way.

Our will was simple, 2 kids and it's 50-50. I used an online outfit, Legal Zoom, had a couple of friends witness it and Citizen's First Bank notarized it. It really was surprisingly simple, much like Turbo Tax for taxes. Just another option.

I used Andrew Curtis. I haven’t dealt with a lot of lawyers so I can’t compare. Andy did a great job for us on wills and trusts. Prices seem better than I would have thought. He does a lot of them. Office located in Fruitland Park. He Has seminars occasionally to answer questions no meals at the seminar maybe a cookie and coffee. Advertises in Sun newspaper. We. Got them done when we moved here full time. Don’t wait to do this any longer.
