Is there anyway to remove these obnoxious ads on this site.
If Hubby logs in when I am away he just might start clicking on the senior dating ad.

Nope. That's how the site makes the money to stay online. It's either ads or we pay a fee for the server, etc. Personally, I vote for the ads.

A pic of a 20 YO blond bimbo with an open cut striped top and shorts with the Want a Date title just doesn't seem appropriate for TOTV.

Where are the admins?

Since August 1st, those ads have been clicked on 287 times. Apparently there is a market in The Villages for that advertiser.

I really like that ad. However, I have never purposely clicked on it.

The woman could be anywhere from 25 to 40 though. And, you can see down here shirt as she is doing what looks to be a push-up.

Cannot really say what the ad is for as I was not really paying attention to the pitch.

There's a blonde chick and she is in a push-up position with the camera on her face and upper body. You see her shorts in the background.

I thought it had something to do with senior dating even though the woman looks like she could not be any older than 45 at the most.

Ok, I have to chime in. I may catch heck, but this is JMHO! I have seen the ad on this site, and honestly think nothing about it. It brings revenue which keeps this site free for us to talk.
But after seeing some the posts on here about it, it reminds me of when ever I make a comment on how TV needs a Hooter's. Which as I have said, if people would bother to actually go, and see that it is not a strip club, the girls don't give lap dances, etc. BUT that is a great sports atmosphere, the food is very reasonable prices and very good, and the girls are actually dressed! (GASP!) I say all this to make this point, and once again please don't take me wrong, JMHO, if people are so insecure within their marriage about their mates, they have serious trust problems, and the marriage is not that solid as you think it is. My wife actually points out attractive women for me to look at, cause as has been said, we may live in TV but we ain't dead!
And while we are on this point let me stay on my soap box some more, when we go to the pools, my wife has become insecure because of looks/comments she gets there cause she wears a bikini. My wife for her age looks very good, and those that know me & Mrs AG know that. She also works very hard at it, by going to the gym 5 days a week for several hours each time, plus watches what she eats/drinks. And here is a shocker, she was not born this way, 5 years ago she was a size 20 and 100 lbs heavier!!! But other women are worried about their husbands looking at her. This week she actually went out and bought a one piece, the only one she now owns just to wear to the pools! All over insecurity, so it is alot more then just some personal ads on this site.
Ok, point made, off soap box!

I have never seen it either, can somebody instant message me when it is there :) Research purposes only of course !

Seriously, it is probably an ad coming from Google and I don't know what kind of data they use to pick which ads get displayed on various members screeens.

The Ads by Google rotate and, I would think, are targeted, so we don't all see the same ads.

You guys who see the ad have probably been very naughty-- at least in your browsing history.

Pt
Because TH was able to note the number of clicks and it was mentioned the ad was helping generate revenue, it was not a gmail/google-generated source.
TH and TOTV get paid every time they accept an ad and every time it gets clicked/linked from a unique email address if it's the typical ad.

The ads that bothered us were the ones with animation and obnoxious flashing colors like lake Weir living and Dawn the Accountant

Dawn was very responsive when i told her that her flashing tax prep ad was not something that we considered an enhancement for a company offering such professional services

I got her attention that iPhones and other siuch devices often fail to display anything with flashing graphics and/or animation

you just get a blank screen

I was just scrolling to the end so I could add my comment that I haven't seen the ad when there she was on the left side of my screen, in bright living (HD) color! And whoever said that girl could be up to 45 years old must be smoking something good. If she's a day over 21 I'll be surprised.

It's funny, but another version of the dating ad just came up, and this one has two separate photos of old guys (like most of us) smilinbg at middle-aged women and I'd say the ad is appropriate to the TV age group and probably wouldn't be objectionable to anyone in this audience. I wonder why they needed to put the young woman's picture in the other ad (I might have said "young chick's picture", but that wouldn't be PC would it?)

Sure, you can say that. "Chick Flick" is part of our language now. Even the chicks use that expression today.

puh-leeze, Mr TH, Ms. 'barely-legal-if-a-day-over-16' should be elsewhere.
we don't even get pop ups like those on sites where they belong more.

Yes, we don't mind the scenery but the fact you don't need the money that bad that those who have young grandkids looking over the shoulder.
And all the Clicks you mentioned as 'There must be a market'

It's more curiosity seekers looking at menus.

thanks Pt
we thought the Ads by Google tag referred to what was 'below' not above

either way, no biggie. we don't have grandkids looking over the shoulder

it's the teens at our shop that see the appealing images and assume when we go to TV we're getting into things they would not associate with 'old age homes'

Everyone is right.... It's the Google ads... I kept looking for the ad everyone was talking about and then I realized, that since I'm still living in Germany, the Google ad [I get] is a German ad.

If you could see the ads I see, there would really be some controversy on TOTV ...

Whew.... I feel better now with that solved. I thought I was missing out on something.

hahaha...this is SO funny. All men look! If you have to "worry" about him and one ad, then you better stay home at all times to keep an eye on him. LOL. There are so many absolutely GORGEOUS, fit women in their mature years here in TV. You might want to consider not letting him out of the house either. He may cheat with his mind. Or, put blinders on him when you go out. Don't forget a cane for the blind. Besides regular ads, men can look for women on dating sites too. Ahhh....let the poor guy look and click. It'll keep him young and vital for YOU. And yes..take him to Hooters on your next trip somewhere. :D

The politicos running this August here in our district must be using the same kind of reasoning.

Every time I have driven by the Villages Public Library there have been rather young looking and very attractive women holding up Nugent signs. Different ones each day though. There has also been the same guy holding up a sign for a different candidate but my eyes usually stay on the Nugent pitchers even if that is only in the rear view mirror.

The Nugent competitor for your attention does wave a great deal more than than attractive gaggle of women.

um... you are programmed like most of us. Hence, the sexy ads. Now there's a thought. Anyone who objects to sexy ads should do their part by clicking on all the ho hum ads. If ho hum ads worked as well, advertisers wouldn't resort to sexy ones as much.
