Has any one had a positive experience with getting kitchen cabinet lighting installed? If so could you recommend to me who did it. Thanks

We had it done, it's just great. I'll PM you with the info when I look it up. Maybe you'd like to see ours before you decide.

I have retrofitted under and over cabinet lighting. It's quite doable. Ask away if you have questions.

Edit: by retrofit I mean there was no lighting and I added it. They are powered by hardwired household current, just like a built in lights, in fact they are.

We just installed battery operated under cabinet lighting last week. Looks great and operates via remote control unit. Seems
like it will be easy to replace (AA) batteries also.

I put lights under my cabinets using strong magnets. The lights have 3 modes, high, med & low. USB used for recharging. Each light bar is 6 inches long. I’ve been very happy with my choice. Purchased at HM Depot

We had LED strip lights installed above and below our kitchen cabinets and we could not be happier. The lights cast a beautiful soft white light onto the items displayed above the cabinets and light up the counter top below the cabinets. We have two slider separate dimmer controls for the lights.

The electrician installed the lights before the new backsplash was installed because the wire had to be "buried" behind the wall to go around the window in the kitchen. This way, every cabinet, including above the pantry is lit up.

We had Hayes Electric install the lights. Their number is (352) 536-3400. Ask for Vinny. He is did a fantastic job. Vinny gave us a choice as to which way the lights strips would face so not to cast a harsh light on the counter tops. Have I said I LOVE these lights?

My friend had the stick-on under cabinet lights installed when her house was built. Only cost her well over $900. The Villages said they would last for “years”. I guess 18 months is more than 1 year so it can be considered “years”. When she called warranty they said tough luck. It was beyond 1 year. She got the installer. He said it was $85 to come out. He informed her it was the transformer. Another $85 to come back and $150 for the transformer. She decided to call the manufacturer, Kitchler, they told her 2 years on the transformer. So she wound up saving the $150. She loves the lighting but buyer beware.

We had a great experience with, Alex. In fact, once he was in our village, about ten other neighbors employed him for additional lighting projects.

We had Liquid Lights install our lights and absolutely love them! Different levels of brightness and so much brighter than what you can buy and install yourself, like we did at our old house. Sure you save some money doing it yourself, but Liquid Lights brought my kitchen to life. Their number 352-314-3065. You can PM me and are welcome to come see ours.

We used Clay Quarles from Light Pros. He installed lights under and above our kitchen cabinets which are controlled with a remote. They did a great job at a very reasonable price

Liquid Lights are great. Did our cabinets and undercabinet lighting for our wine bar area. Remote controlled and many levels of light brightness and color. Very inexpensive to keep these lights on and will last for a very long time. Only upkeep is a battery for the remote about every 2 years. They were very professional installers and it only took about an hour or less.

Installing lights on top of the cabinets is easy. Just order string lights from amazon and install using ty-wraps and adhesive backed mounting blocks. Total cost $50.

Liquid lights great job

I agree. I had Liquid Lights do mine and they did an extraordinary job. They also did three golf carts for me. I think they are second to none. Work# 352-314-3065.

We did the same thing and they work great. LED lights are amazing, it took four years before we had to replace the batteries. Before we put in the battery operated lights I tried to install hardwired lights but there was a stud running horizontal to the usual studs running vertically in the walls. I couldn’t snake romex through the horizontal stud so defaulted to the battery operated lights.
