Their walk out is over so presumably racism has been solve and a thing of the past!!! I guess when you’re willing to sacrifice so much by sitting out for a whole day anything is possible.
I personally believe it was a complete coincidence that players went back after they found out their salary would be cut.

I agree, can't put their money where their mouths are. Plus they may have finally realized that their "victims" were 2 convicted criminals and 2 suspected criminals.

They were looking for a practical solution and got the ownership to agree to use the arenas for voting.

Or let them picket for kids to stay and finish school.
Or get married and raise children in two parent households,
Those are protests we would agree with

Here is what the NBA demands;
The league and players union released a joint statement Friday announcing resumption of the games, and said that the league and its players will work together on several initiatives to promote voting access, combat social injustice and racial inequality, and advocate for police reform.
Among the initiatives is advertising that will promote social justice as part of the broadcasts.
Here are “MY” demands to the NBA and Pro Sports:
Remove The painted BLACK LIVES MATTER” from the NBA floors. BLM founder is an admitted Marxist (embodies socialism) so if you want the majority to support your cause find or start an organization that embodies capitalism and openly disavows violence.
Agree to promote social justice with police reform without defunding or dissolution.
Agree to stand during the playing of the National Anthem.
Agree to promote peaceful protests and strongly disavow any violence at any time, including admitting and promoting ways to stop Black on Black violence.
Your right to boycott playing with demands are no different than my right to boycott going to and watching your sport. A big difference is you are generously paid by us (tickets/ tv broadcast fees) so I don’t care to hear or see your protests on my dollars. Do it on your own time.
I really hope to see you all again sometime, but for now goodbye.

The only way to quell the injustices minorities feel is for people to hold the aggressors responsible with real consequences. Always have your camera ready to record.

Trey Gowdy made a great point. He asked where was there sentiment about black lives when he needed witnesses to step up after a black person was murdered.
Some black lives don't matter to BLM. They would include victims of black on black crime, young black kids being deprived of a quality education and the 40% of black babies killed in the womb every year.
Feel free to add to the list.

The NBA agreement was that they would go back only if their arenas would be used as polling places, which are mostly inner city because so many of the inner city polling places had been closed down. I call that progress.

Seriously? I guess you expect people to be in a constant state of protest march...maybe camp out on the streets until racism is over?? The walkout was a symbol of their support for those who stand against racism. My guess is you will never understand.

No you probably don't because the NBA has been the leader in this movement since George Floyd was murdered. Stop spreading falsehoods. Speaking of hoods yours has a stain.

So you're okay with peaceful protests as long as it's on your terms because kneeling is a form of peaceful protest much like Tommie Smith and John Carlos raising their fists on the Olympic podium.
Funny that was 52 years ago and Black Americans are still fighting the same injustices.

NBA + Adults playing a childs game and getting waaaay overpaid in the process. NFL is the same...some children never grow up mentally. These games give them something to do to keep those like them amused.

The sneaker giants are among the major footwear and clothing companies that have been steadily moving production out of China. The country has turned its focus to more valuable items, such as electronics, leading to rising wages for higher skilled workers —and less business for those in its massive clothing, footwear, and textile industry, as international brands turn to low-wage nations in Southeast Asia such as Vietnam (2019 / $2.60-$3.75/hr). Both migrant and informal workers often face poor working and living conditions, with low and insecure incomes, long working hours and precarious employment. In addition, many migrants and informal workers are not able to access social services such as health care and education. Nike, and others, seem to promote social justice and equality here, but the values they promote here are just a smoke screen to hide who they really are.

It amuses me when white people have so much to say about racism NBA walkout and all. A Flipiant post when the actual real facts are there for you to see. White guy shoots people with a high power rifle and gets a high five walking out. Black guy gets shot 7 times in the back for not listening. You don't see something wrong with this picture. I do. Perhaps if white guys like you could be a black guy for a month you might have a different take on life and the NBA. See no matter how much money Lebron James makes he is still black all the time. I feel sad for you that you posted this, read Devil in the Grove or The New Jim Crow and get back to us.

BLM has virtually nothing to do with black people. This organization uses race to help push their agenda. They will use any means that is successful to bring chaos. They are tricking a lot of people. Sports stars that don’t understand and don’t believe in all the mess are made to back down or loose careers or worse. Ask Drew Brees

Anyone from any background or color must have the determination and desire to do the unthinkable. To make up in their mind to Be successful, and not to let the past of their families or ancestry to determine their future. Many blacks, whites and people from all over the world have become roll models, because they came to the conclusion. If they kept doing what they been doing, then they will keep getting what they have been getting! No matter the color of skin, many came out of low income housing, food stamps and free stuff and now are first generation millionaires. I know some personally the opportunity is there.

Can you really say that we have not made a lot of progress in equality during the past 52 years?
If blacks would go and finish school to qualify for good jobs and have and raise children in a regular two parent household to instill values perhaps the black crime rate would go down substantially and their would be less interactons with police.
How come so many other minority groups of different races have done so well in America?
