Long time reader and first time poster..
We are closing on our home in the Village of Pennecamp September 2 and I have a question if anyone can help..
The home we built is a Designer. When the home was built, there are blue wires, a big black wire coming out of the ground in a plastic pipe and some white wires (from memory) on the side of the garage in the area of the A/C. Can anyone tell me what they are and do I need to worry with them. They are kinda ugly and didn't know what they are used for nor how to hide them ???

Put it on your punch list.
But stay clear of them until you know what they are.

They are your utility lines where telephon and cable company will hook up to. Some go into your house, the others go to the utility box either in front or behind the house. Not to worry, but better to be safe then sorry. Bye the way welcome aboard and get ready for a GREAT ride:wave::crap2:

I found out today these wires are for my home phone service and for Cable TV. What are we suppose to do if we don't want phone service or Cable TV service ??? I hate to know these wires will just sit on the side of my house.
Any help.

You can buy a 'box' at Home Depot or Lowes, attach it to the side of your home and shove the unused wires in it. Lowes and Home Depot will know what kind of 'box' you need!

TommyT, You may wish to call and ask the Warranty office. All of the CYVs have a plastic box mounted on the side of the house to house the cable TV and phone wires. I suspect all of the houses have them as well. It may be something that simply got overlooked during construction. It should not be your responsibility to buy and mount the box.

I reread your first post and see that you don't close on your new home until September 2.
I bet they will have that all enclosed and finished for you before closing.
Welcome. I hope you have peace and happiness in your new home!
