batman911,

There already IS a nuclear power plant in Crystal River. The article you saw was for a plant to be built in Levy County. Crystal River is in Citrus County. We lived in Citrus County back in 1990-1991, and that nuclear power plant was up and running back then. During cold snaps in the wintertime, the manatee would swim in the discharge waters where it was warm. So that is nothing new.

Crystal River is due West of TV on the Gulf, about an hour and fifteen minutes drive. It has a very nice beach on the gulf that has a view of the power plant to the North.

Levy County is the next county North of Citrus County and also on the Gulf Coast.
