We are thinking of replacing our appliances with new stainless ones. We stopped at Appliance Direct on 441/27 in Fruitland Park and they seemed to have good prices. Anyone had any experiences with them. Any better suggestions?

We bought a Whirlpool steam washer and steam dryer from them. Home Depot and Lowes wouldn't match. Got what they told us we would get and delivery was on time, although there was a $50 charge. Don,t know if their the best, but we got what we paid for.

You may wish to also consider getting a price quote from HH Gregg in Ocala. We purchased several appliances from them and they beat Home Depot's price.

I am also planning on checking out Appliance Direct before I purchase a washer/dryer.

For what its worth, we stopped in at Moon's Appliances in Santa Fe Crossing Plaza on CR466 last week to look at a washer/dryer. Owner Mike was very helpful and gave us some price quotes on several other items that seemed to be very competitive. I think he said that his price includes delivery, setup, and all items such as hoses, etc. We haven't purchased anything yet and I need to do some more homework but you might want to at least let him give you a quote to compare elsewhere.

Bought the Whirlpool Cabrio washer & dryer there. Went in told them the sale price at Lowes (which they looked up on the Internet) and reduced there washer price $50 less than Lowes, the dryer was already lower. Included free delivery and installation. Brand new in the box.

Bogie, are you talking about Moon's or Appliance Direct?

Don't forget to go to the post office and ask the clerk for a change of address package. There is a 10% off card for Lowes inside. It is accepted at Lowes & Home Depot. Find the appliances you want and then deduct 10%.

We bought a french door fridge at Appl Direct for almost $900 off the price of Best Buy, Home Depot. Same model, same warranty, brand new. Love it! He just buys overstocks, model clearance, etc directly from manufacturers for a great savings. Delivered the next day and installed.
