It made today's Sentinel also - page A8.
There is nothing worst than getting behind a cart going about 3 mph and you notice there is a dog sitting unleashed on the passenger seat or "helping" mom or dad to drive.

39% of US households have a dog!
Guessing dog population of US must be about equal to humans.

Yes there is something worse.
Driving behind a Crown Vic, with at least 4 types of magnetic ribbons and signs on the trunk lid, going through a round a bout drifting into both lanes, with a dog in the elderly drivers lap with the dogs head sticking out of the open window.

PetSmart and PetCo carry restraining devices that attach to car seatbelts for dogs. They are constructed in a way that should the vehicle crash, the dog is held safely and securely in place. Kind of "seatbelts" for dogs.
We use these always when our dogs are in our car OR in our golf cart. In the cart, you can attach them to the seat frame.:thumbup:
