TOTV allows members to hide comments by selected users. Think of it as your personal blood pressure medicine. Members can easily be added and removed from your list.

NEW VERSION
From the general forums discussions page (https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/villages-florida-general-discussion-73/), click the User Settings link at the top of the page next to Welcome [your user name].

Scroll down the left navigation pane on the User Control Panel page to Edit Ignore List. Clicking that link will bring up the window to easily add/remove users to or from your list.

OLD VERSION
Click the User CP link at the top of the forums home page (https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/usercp.php) and follow the instructions above.

Ideally, users will continue to skip over any political, off-topic and inflammatory posts. Please report them but don't reply; that will likely result in getting your comment deleted as well.

Thanks to everyone for helping keep TOTV a useful and friendly forum for discussion of life in The Villages and beyond.

That's not fair. Without them you wouldn't have TOTV.

Good to know. Keeps me from saying something I shouldn’t to someone who seems to be new, yet thinks we are obese, mentally feeble by paying too much for everything, and unable to make our front doors more secure.

AND who wants to start another dog poop thread.

When you have someone blocked, you can see that they posted, just not what they posted.

See the little guys laughing? It's a little humor. Very little.

Is it true or false that even if you block another poster you don't see the content of the post but you actually see that the blocked poster posted?

I only blocked one poster in my whole stinkin' life and that isn't necessary at this juncture.

I wouldn't block Mr. Helpful for any reason. :)

It depends on WHO is on duty as to how quick certain topics are stopped.
