Saw them but didn't get a picture. What base are they from?

We saw one. I assumed it had something to do with President Trumps visit tomorrow.

Of course it does. He doesnt just fly into places without security scoping it out. Why be surprised??

An Osprey and two VH-92 Marine One helicopters on a pre-flight for tomorrow’s Presidential visit to the Villages.

Lockheed Martin was part of the VH project back in Owego NY. Were I worked. Got pictures but couldn’t figure out how to attach

Secret service always arrives ahead of time .... scoping out routes to be avoided , etc when motoring the POTUS anywhere. They also have to scope out local trauma center to take him to if someone decided to take a shot at him. When i worked at our local Trauma center up north, we had to have an OR standing by at all times when the POTUS was in town

I was in Ocala and spotted this flying into Ocala International Airport. For some reason I don’t think it was John Travolta flying in.

The Osprey's (4 of them) were here last time Trump visited too, so I'm assuming they are a normal part of his advance party. We were on the third hole of the Tierra Del Sol course last time and they went right over us on their way to the Polo Fields. Impressive.

Just to set the record straight, the helicopter is a Sikorsky CH-53. And the helicopter is only Marine One when POTUS is onboard. Also the Presidential Helicopter is a Sikorsky VH-3D

There is a show going on Saturday at Paquetts tractor place on US44. It is an all day show to raise money for veterans living in the Ocala forest. It will feature military equipment.

The Ocala National forest has a bombing range and areas they use for monthly reserve training. Plus Camp Blanding is up there used for weekend reserve warriors. Been that way for decades. Nothing new, they have flown over this area forever, remember most of Sumter county was always cattle ranches and swamp. We’re paying to living in the Chitty chatty swamp

Some prefer to be “homeless” because of PTSD etc.

I saw it on the local Fox Station live. It was a very large crowd and they all stood up and cheered when he landed. It looked like most had on Masks provided by The Daily Sun. I would have loved to be there. Hope no one gets sick.

Love the picture of the Osprey. My so. Flew that beast. I got to sit in one and can’t imagine how these service people fly them; so complicated.

I was actually there. I took the golf cart and parked outside the main entry across the street to watch from a distance, with several other people (we mostly stayed in our carts at a reasonable distance from each other, and most of us were wearing masks).

There were enough people NOT wearing masks going through, and once they got inside, that anyone who MIGHT be worried about getting sick, should not have gone at all. There was very limited social distancing, and the crowds didn't seem to be concerned at all. I watched some folks being dropped off, and around 15 minutes later saw the same group of people in the grounds area taking their masks off.

So even the ones who came in with masks, weren't keeping them on.

What's worse, is that this was a public event, and hundreds of people were shuttled in from outside the Villages. So sure, maybe the Villages itself has limited COVID spread - but Orlando is a hot spot and there were people bussed in from there for this.
