How do I clear stored private messages folder

I delete my private messages as soon as I read them. However, when I click on EMPTY FOLDER, the page comes right back with the message that says, "You have X amount of messages stored out of a total 10,000 allowed".

I wish to empty the folder but it does not empty. I would like the prompt to say I have zero messages stored.

Bottom of every page is “contact us” why not ask your question direct?

Do you click on box at right and then click on drop down at bottom of page and click on delete? I have similar problem with old photo’s the block on right not lit up so you can delete them, and yes, I contacted forum moderator, must be glitch??

From your Private Message list click the little box at the very right to select the message(s) you want to delete.

Once you've selected the messages you want to delete, go to the bottom of the page and where it says: "Selected Messages" use the pull down menu and select "Delete". Now hit the "Go" button.

This only deletes messages that have not already been deleted. What I'm trying to do is empty the deleted folder. It still will not delete all the messages in the folder.

I was just now able to clear out my inbox of private messages. YAY, it works.
