Is there a section in the Yellow Pages for recommendations?

Purchase a LaMotte 2056 ColorQ pool testing kit and investigate robotic pool cleaners. The ColorQ is like taking high school chemistry again. And the robotic cleaner is self explanatory. The robot cleans the bottom, scrubs the sides to the water line, and will climb stairs. My pool is equipped with a Hayward Goldline Salt System that makes chlorine from salt. So I also own a battery operated salt reader. Caution: The robot cleaners are expensive but certainly less than a monthly pool cleaner cost.

T & D, but cleaning the pool can be done by anyone, you are paying them to keep the water properly balanced and the keep the filter clean.

With services you never know if they take proper care of water chemistry until you see stains then your finish is ruined. Do your own. Very simple and assuming you are retired with a lot of spare time. I’m not retired and I do my own

T&D installed our pool and so we have stayed with them for cleaning and maintenance. They do an excellent job. It especially pays off when you’re away for extended periods knowing that the pool is still being maintained properly

I’ve had 3 pool companies in the last 4 years. The first was awful, a carryover from previous owner. The second was good , but was higher priced with some employee turnover. I’m currently with Sparkling Waters and find their service and prices excellent. I recommend them.

Over fifteen years I found the most reliable and professional by far was T&D Pool Service (352-748-0044). Their techs are trained, equipped with the proper tools and chemicals, provide service with regularity, and are about the same price as the independent “one man” operations. I tried a smaller service for awhile and quickly went back to T&D when my pool was “skipped”, once because of the flu and another time for a school teacher’s conference. That doesn’t happen with T&D.

WE HAVE USED T&D for 11 years. We had a great tech for about 4 years. The new person is hit and miss. I found that they were not doing the job they said. I observed them supposedly scrubbing and vaccuming, but they had no hose and or brush with them, even though their ticket said it was done. Not happy now. We are here year around and were lucky to see what was going on. Hope new tech is better.

We didn’t want the high cost of other pool companies and were revered by a friend to; Jimmy’s Pools and ask for April.. we always did our own pool before moving here due to cost and low quality care but have been delighted with Johnny’s and highly recommend them! 352-406-7574

T and D also installed and have maintained our pool and hot tub for 15 years and they are GREAT. I wouldn't let anyone else touch them!

Had T&D but too many staff changes, missed cleanings brought to their attention, etc. Signed on with Orca two years ago and are pleased. Now Orca has taken over at least 5 T&D sites in our small neighborhood.

Wow. Robots have come a long way!

I have a Maytronic Dolphin. My original Maytronic Dolphin cleaned my pool in Savannah for almost 20 years without a single problem. Scrubs the bottom, the sides to the water line, and the steps. No stains. No issues whatsoever. When we moved to Florida I gave it to my son and he used it in his pool until last year when it finally croaked. My new Maytronic Dolphin has cleaned my pool for the past decade without issue. I swear by these robots. In my opinion, the trick is the pool chemistry which I solve with my LaMotte ColorQ. Check the chems weekly in the warm months and about twice monthly in winter. Pool still looks and feels new!

We have T&D and have great service, Micheal is our tech. Had Sparkling Waters but had issues with tech showing up and not doing anything, watched him on camera and called owner who verified with trucks GPS tech was only at house 5 minutes. Additionally tech would bring his small son who would play with our outside stuff, again observed on camera. I would stay away from Sparkling Waters.

We have T & D. They changed our tech since the pandemic and the new techs seem bored. We are looking to change. Will give Orca and Sparkling a call.
