If anyone knows of any bars or lounges in the area which will be showing the Presidential election on November 3rd, please let me know.

I'm guessing due to potential irresponsible / aggressive behaviors by bar patrons no bars will be showing it, but kind of like a football game, I'd enjoy watching it amongst a lively but friendly group of people versus at home.

By the time there are any results made available the bars here will be closed.

Hmmmm......
Gather a bunch of people who differ politically and are in your face about it already, put them in a bar and serve ETOH, half of them with CCW----what could possibly go wrong?

Sounds like a movie idea, or a mlnl series as long as it will take to tally all the votes.

+++ Plan to hunker down and watch the crazies do their thing across the country. I predict Marshal Law will be imposed. Because November across much of the USA will be Portland, Minneapolis, Chicago, Atlanta, etc etc ON STEROIDS. But The Villages safe & secure.

It seems to me that watching election results on TV is about the same as watching paint dry. It's a long, boring process. The networks will all have their "panels" of talking heads going "blah, blah, blah" starting early and going late with little knowledge or insight. Not my idea of good entertainment.

Not a good idea to hang out inside a bar for an extended period of time, I would be more concerned about the results of a Covid test than the election outcome.

I will probably be binge viewing Fear the Walking Dead on November 3, 2020.

This has the potential for serious issues as you mentioned. Stay home. Stay safe.

Unfortunately due to mail in voting, I doubt we will know anything until days later, unless it's a landslide. One can only hope!

The US is approaching 100,000 cases per day - faster than even the expert Doctors predicted. Those that willfully go indoors with groups are dancing with the devil of Death. Some are just trying to pretend reality away. They must think that this existentially-changing election is only the equivalent of a football game. These pretend-reality people are ALMOST as frightening as the disease itself to me. Go team! Go big red CV! Go big blue DR. Fauci!

Safer than a bar. But, you should all sit outside in a yard.

Sorry to say but you will probably be going back to the bar for several days until the results are in.

I watched a little of the early coverage last time and got bored with all of the prognosticators. Just a bunch of people who really don't know, speculating on what might happen.

I went to bed and found out the next morning.

I don't think it's going to be like that at all. Most of the people looting and rioting now don't give a rat's arse about the election or politics in general. They don't really like either presidential candidate and I doubt that they know the difference between them. Heck, they probably didn't even bother to vote at all.

As far as watching the election results in a bar goes, that could be fun.

So true. If they cared they wouldn't be destroying and stealing. Just an excuse. Peaceful my behind.
