Can any Arcade game aficionados recommend someone to build a MAME?

I'd like to have a video arcade game console. I know some companies make MAMEs (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) but they seem to be limited in the amount of games they sell. Probably illegal for MAME makers to market their arcade consoles WITH games for copyright reasons. So looking for someone nearby to build one or a manufacturer who makes a console easy to navigate in order to add your own games. I'm a Mac guy and had a MAME a number of years ago with 30,000 games. Loved it—when it worked. But the interface was glitchy. When there was a problem I was totally lost. Even trying to do the simplest fixes in DOS was Greek to me. This was maybe 10 years ago. Would like to give it another go. Any suggestions?
Arcade games got me through college and Marine Corps service 1976—1986. Gravitar. Alien Attack. Galaga, Asteriods. Zektor. Track & Field... some of you out there know what I'm talking about! :)

I gotta ask...why not a PlayStation or XBox. The have most of the old games...or slight variations...available also. Plus we use ours for much of our streaming.

I asked my son who is an electronic whiz. He said MAMES are out of touch because the current gaming consoles and PC can do so much. You can play many games on a MAC although you may have to upgrade graphic cards. I am currently building a gaming PV through Digital Storm, give them a look.

I don’t have a cabinet but set up a raspberry pi to run retro games. It’s a small computer about the size of a credit card. You can buy all of the “parts” in a kit for under $100 on Amazon. There are a multitude of videos online to assist in the build but it is not near as easy as the tech guys make it out to be. It is equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth. I pair it to my big screen TV and can play all of the games on a PS4 wireless controller while relaxing on my sofa. The controller was an additional $75.
