As long as tickets are transferable, I think it's just a matter of time before people start scalping tickets. In fact, I was considering asking if anyone would like to sell their ticket to the "sold out" Johnny Wild show next Sunday. But I decided not to as I've always objected to scalping on principle.

It might turn out to be a good thing. Once the developer gets wind of people making money off of "free" tickets, perhaps they'll dispense with the reservation system and just let people show up at the Squares and cut off attendance when the limit is reached, as someone else here suggested.

If you make it first come first serve you will still get some people who will walk out and either try to sell the tickets or prevents others from coming in.

You're probably right. So the solution is to require ID and make them non-transferable. But we might be jumping the gun. Let's hope we never devolve into a scalping situation. But I tell ya, for big music fans like me, it's tempting to bite the bullet and pay if I get shut out of shows by Johnny Wild, the Hooligans, the Spazmatics and a few others.

Don't think it will long before the squares will open....pools go to full capacity this week, restaurants are at 100%, restaurants outside TV have started to relax the mask requirements of staff. Spacing not enforced anywhere in TV except the Sharon so far. Masks requested only, even where required not enforced. Revenue is needed and don't think the County has any intention of interfering with that anymore much less any one on the District leadership. Golf is returning to pre-March rules, rec centers are allowing gatherings. Agree or not, we are returning to normal and we make the decisions for each of us.
