Regardless of the outcome on Tuesday, let's get all campaign posters, plaques, and signs, from local and national, and build a big bonfire to renew our Villager's faith in America, ourselves, and humanity. Life will go on and we are in the best place to enjoy it.

The only side who will say let’s renew is the winning side probably including the OP me I’m Catholic but from very early in long tome in Asia I follow many teachings of the Buddha including are fates are already written so no matter what the heartbreak or disaster in your life accept it and move on

Nope, not a bonfire. I like to gather up all the yard signs and use them for target shooting. They have their own stands and work great, since they are free. And as a bonus, if your side lost you can vent a little by shooting up the opposition's sign.:thumbup:

We're going to bring in our signs after the election is over. No need to burn them, we'll hang onto ours because this has been an historic election if there ever was one.

i've heard these words before and seen the movie 🍿 shangri-la
let's close the gates and lock out reality.
I , myself care for the fate and well being of my family, friends and countrymen outside of these fabled walls and will not withdraw from the fray but will rather lend my support to keep the barbarians away from us all.
Session over

Who are the barbarians?????

You will see them come out wherever there are boarded up businesses or any large city for that matter. The enlightened media refers to them as “peaceful protesters”. My own eyes tell me they are something very different.

I have grown weary of those racist statements.

And, btw, it's America, not america.

Let’s hope the ‘unbiased’ national media sets a good example for us by not crying hysterically, ON AIR! If Trump wins again.

I don't think you have to worry about them crying. It will be more like a sigh of relief. :icon_wink:

Lets hope one or other has a landslide victory, because without that, it will be all down to the lawyers, and riot squads!

When I was in high school we had a gigantic class, 500+ In a town with 2 other large high schools. There were all sorts of cliques; hippies, jocks, in-crowd, nerds, etc. we completely ignored other groups, there were fights, etc.

When senior year came around something magical happened, we were all just seniors.

Everybody talked to everybody, parties included everyone, it was just amazing.

I believe this is what the OP means, imagine if we could do that. One gigantic group, all together.

I’ve always respected the older folks, they have something it takes a lifetime to acquire.....wisdom. Let’s start to show that.

We should all come together just like 4 years ago to get behind our president. Remember how nice that felt

LOL

There is something wrong with a retired person who lets an election control their lives. This is my considered opinion. Fore.

No, I don't think that. We are currently behind China's rate of growth economically. We are laughing stocks around the world. We have lost the respect of our traditional allies and counties like Germany are discussed with us and intend to make new and more dependable alliances as a matter of their own self-preservation. We are on our own! We have tried to connect with Russia, Hungary, and Saudi Arabia and they just want to screw us...up in every way possible. so much for good foreign relations. That IS our current situation. So, after the election, we will either rebuild or continue down this self-imposed rabbit hole! The US future is NOT so bright that it needs to wear shades!

Other factors.......CV could STAY around and continue to change everyone's life (even those who pretend to ignore it, especially the over age 55). A vaccine MAY be proven safe in about June 2021. Then, it might take 2 doses and distribution requires EXTREME low temperature so will be a tough PROBLEM, solvable around 2022. The US has a failing infrastructure, with some of the world's worse roads, bridges, and tunnels. A jobs program is necessary to fix that problem. Problems of racism, Global Warming, and overpopulation will continue - some are on a "slow boil" some more immediate. Environmental deterioration and animal species extinguishment continue unabated and well below the conscious level of the average American.

US society has forgotten that its 1st and main objective is to protect the lives and health of ALL its citizens. This needs to be a renewed objective after this Historic election. Historic in numbers of voters. The voters are trying to say something here.....and what it IS ain't exactly clear......put an egg in my beer.....get me ready for the new year, Dear!
