I live in Sumter County and have a 1 gal and a 2 gal gas can, each containing some old gas. I want to dispose of both cans and gas. I really had trouble using them, so I would like to get rid of them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Since I live in Sumter County, the Lake County disposal place on Rolling Acres Rd isn't for me.

Thank you!

 If they are still serviceable then maybe offer them to the next landscape crew you see. :)

I would be happy to take them off your hands if the gas cans are the older type that don't have the worthless spill proof spouts that are government mandated on all new gas cans.

Sorry, but they are not old style. That is why I want to get rid of them. Never did get them to work.

Thanks though!

You can buy spouts that actually work. Amazon has 'em and I think I even saw one at True Value over the summer.

Set them by your driveway with a free sign. They should be gone in the hour.
