Hello all. We just purchased a home in TV. We settle in a few weeks and excited to start our new retirement life. We feel we picked a fantastic place to start this new life. I was hoping someone can provide some information on where I can store a motorcycle that has electric for my trickle charger. If anyone has a suggestion I would appreciate a response. Thank you Ray

Several (if not all) of the local self storage facilities have electric, so you can use Google maps to locate the ones that are closest, and call for rates on the size unit you need. We used Fruitland Park (441 north of 466a) for 2 years, had 2 units one for a car and one for furniture, as I recall these were $110 each per month.

I rented a 10 x 20 at Fort Knox and another 10 x 20 at All Aboard in Coleman, neither of them had electricity available in any of the units. I don't think they want people living in these things with lights and cooking, etc. May also be an insurance issue. The RV storage facilities do have electric available.

How long are
you looking to store it? Weeks months or for the winter?

Remember you can ride all twelve months here. I sold my bike when I got here and got a scoot. When we went away I just kept it on the trickle charge in the garage.

Why not just remove the battery and keep the trickle charge on it in your garage. Storage units will be a lot easier to find and less expensive without the need for electric.

We have a Can-Am Spyder, a golf cart and a car in our 2 stall garage. With room to walk around them. I wouldn't rent a unit until you see if it will fit. We have the trickle charger on it all the time.

Just have to add this

Replaced my battery tender with a CTEK and have had no problems with my 65 mustang battery

You can’t put it in garage? You will find in most of the dinky houses you’ll have to dowwwwn size.

We have a 2-car garage with a car, golf cart, motorcycle and 2 bikes plus 2 work benches and multiple storage units. IF you have 2 cars, eliminate 1. Between a car, golf cart and cycle we do quite well without a second car. We schedule "outside The Villages" trips to accommodate each other.
