I clicked on a ad on this site, "Natures Pet Loss", because my German Shepherd is getting old, and I don't want to bury him in a sack out back when he passes.... what a great option! I didn't know this existed, it's affordable, and I can treat him like the family member he has been for 11 years....352-661-0130 I visited here on Friday, what a relief for an upcoming inevitable time I must face.....

Seems they have found a way to cremate pets in water!
Sous vide cat anyone?

I don't have a pet and wouldn't use the service anyway, but I enjoyed the video on the website.

They have this for humans as well. It’s an alternative to cremation with fire. They use a chemical in conjunction with water that breaks down the body. I’ve seen a video on it.

Whether you choose aquamation or cremation for your pets remains, you can place the remains in a urn from The Villages Woodshop, custom made to your order, with your pet's name engraved on the urn. This is a respectful and beautiful way to preserve your memories. Visit The Villages Woodshop for details.

They are wonderful there. I too felt the same way about throwing my sweet baby into a fire. This was a nice alternative with very kind and caring people. The owner is awesome. I can’t say enough positive about them. Glad you found them even though under such sad circumstances. So sorry for your loss.

My dogs are my life, but when they die they get buried. I think what matters is how they are treated when they are alive. That said, if it brings you some comfort to creamate them, or what this deal is.... then go for it.

When one of my 4 dogs died 2 years ago, the animal hospital cremated her. Called me to pick up her remains , which was in a bag. there was a wooden box with engraving and inside was a black velvet bag with the ashes, which was contained in another bag, a leather looking box with a picture frame on top to put her picture in and inside, her paw print in stone. I have to say , not a big fan of cremation. Would of preferred to bury her, but we knew we will be selling our NY home in two years and I want her with me. We have her on our fireplace mantel. My kids know I want her ashes buried with me when my time comes. That's the only plus about cremation. They are with you. Just gives me a weird feeling when I look at the ashes and feel the bag. I guess that's also because my religion doesn't believe in cremation.
